Sorry if I missed it somewhere, but did you get the daycare situation resolved at all?

Re: Wendy
No. Did you see they kicked us out of daycare for complaining to the district manager?
I took today off (as if I had a choice) and spent all freakin day touring daycares. I'm discouraged and frustrated and disheartened.
Yeah, I saw that part. I would be enraged. ENRAGED. I hope you complain even more to the district manager...and to Yelp and whoever else will listen.
Did you find any that you're considering?

Ah, jeez Wendy. I know this is pointless, but any chance of J stepping up and pitching in until you've got it locked down?
It blows my mind that they'd do this to you. I'd be tempted to call any fellow parents I knew that use that daycare.
"The meek shall inherit the earth" isn't about children. It's about deer. We're all going to get messed the fuckup by a bunch of cloned super-deer.- samfish2bcrab
Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman
Yeah, I've thought about it, but so far I'm chickenshit. I literally spent the entire day looking at new daycares too, so I didn't have a lot of free time. I did call the one other parent whose number I had (Connor is going to miss this kid so much, he was already asking about her today).
ETA: I submitted the form on the interwebs for the "in your corner" thing. I'll let you guys know if anything comes of it.
Small victories?
I talked to the daycare regional manager. She confirmed that leaving kids unattended was absolutely not acceptable and she was surprised that we were dismissed for complaining. I hope the dumb *** director (and possibly the district manager too) gets fired.
At the very least, she said they would refund me for the lost tuition and she thanked me for bringing this all to her attention.
GOOD! Yay! You AT LEAST deserve the refund.
YEAH! That must have felt good, getting that validation.
I hope the media gets all over this.
