AWs/FFFCs/All that good stuff
Anyone feel like sharing?
Re: AWs/FFFCs/All that good stuff
I've done nothing but process apps for our program for the past two weeks - I've probably processed a good 300+, which is a record for us. I'm so over looking at apps, so I hope this is the last of it.
My parents are taking JJ for a few days next week while my dad's home. I totally threw my meal plan out the window and will probably just eat junk food the entire time he's gone.
A tiny part of me wishes we'd gotten a snow storm so I could take a day off of work - but then I remember how crappy it was to dig out of last year's storms and quickly took that back.
No real AW here...except that we're having a Super Bowl party on Sunday, and lots of food will be made. Yum.
AW: We went cold turkey last night with M's potty training. No more pull ups just underwear. She went all night without an accident. We'll see how she did at daycare today. Hopefully she doesn't go through too many changes of clothes.
No FFFC that I can think of right now.
We finally had to do that with JJ because he just wasn't being consistent with his pottying. He's done really well since we did that. Good luck!!
You have gone off the deep end, woman.
AW: This morning I weighed in at the lowest I've been since we got married! And my jeans are getting baggy so we are going jean shopping tomorrow!
FFFC: I've been cheating all day long (on my meal plan.) I had a sprinkled donut this morning (darn you, coworker!!), subway for lunch, I'm drinking a coke now (and not just because I'm tired this time, I just found 50 cents in my purse and really wanted to buy a coke, so I did), and we're going out to eat for our double date tonight and I don't plan on picking something really healthy. I always seem to cheat when the scale goes down, I guess I feel like I have room to cheat even though it just means I won't be at my new low after I'm done with today.

I do this too, sabotaging myself. Oops.
It sure is fun here at Planet Crazy!! (The invites are so cute - SO CUTE!)
Posting on FB is like daring people to question her. Do it and post the results for loud entertainment.
Also, I hope her kids stay away from mine.
I'm sure you know this is an option, but for Daisy's first birthday I ordered her a doggie birthday cake!
Where did you get it? My plan is to have Johnnie's make a cake for the people (SD has sort of already picked it out, it is super cute, and how can I say no????) and I planned on making puppy safe treats to put into treat bags as party favors. I considered making a doggie cake too but I am kind of stretched thin already during this time of the month.
This was the article she posted. Along with a comment that said "another reason why we are not vaccinating our baby".
Oh good lord. The article starts
Well of course nobody said vaccines are nutrients. Way to be completely alarmist. If your breastmilk is preventing rotovirus, then by all means do that exclusively. If not, maybe you can find a way to accommodate both.

I have been researching nannies.
We went to GWL with two of DH's really good friends and their wives. We all pal around together. One couple announced that they will be moving to Norman next spring. This would put all of us in Norman again. One guy said "You know....it would be neat if we all had kids together." I was moved by that. I am not sure why, but I was. DH obviously was as well. I am not lying when I say we talk about it everyday. I would never have a child to satisfy some sort of pact, I am ridiculous but not THAT ridiculous but ....... I am not sure what happened.
Anyway, in true puppywuppy household fashion, we are researching it to death.
Conclusion: There are a lot of really hot nannies on care.com

I get this. One of my greatest reluctances (is that a word??) for having a child is that we're no where near our families and best friends. It would be much more fun (and much less stressful) if we had the people we were closest to near us to share in the experience (and help with the babysitting!)
I dare you to post this link in reply.

The thing I dread the most about having kids is losing my freedom. Well, if we all had kids at the same time...nothing would essentially change friendship-wise. Also, I am really, really sad that our kids will have totally crappy grandparents (other than DH's grandparents which would be our kids great-grandparents) and crappy aunts and uncles as well. I LOVE my grandparents/aunts/uncles...I think our friends would fill that void. Or, the lack of family involvement would be less noticeable.
Family is what (who) you make it. I'm sad that Connor doesn't get to have his 'real' grandparents (and that they couldn't be the type of grandparents he deserves), but there are lots of people who love that kid dearly. He's not lacking in that department.
I do agree that it helps to go through all of the parenting experiences with though.
