Re: how often do you get this?
You must be new to this board, so I'll be the first to say Hi. And to give you the responses you'll get from everyone else:
- Smile prettily and say, "Why would you ask that?"
- "My uterus is not your business." or "I don't discuss my uterus or family planning with anyone but my husband and doctor."
- If you continue to get the questions, ignore them or tell them point-blank "If you continue to ask about this, we're leaving." Then follow through.
FRESH MEAT!!!! LOL!!
Welcome! We have lots of thoughts on this.
I try to make a stand up comedy skit out of it. ( I had to at my mother's memorial) I asked for a collection from the family for the cost of raising a child. I told every one they had to come up with $500,000 for private school, babysitters and college. They stopped asking after that.

Totally read this as Mimosas and not minivans. And had to reread it because my thought was...but mimosas are cool and that would make free day care a necessity... Perhaps I need some sleep, lol.
As for the original question, I usually say something along the lines "Meh...I am enjoying being married and running around our house naked without having to explain ourselves." And then follow up with a p.s. of "Oh, by the way, make sure you call before stopping by." They usually leave it at that.
For the most part people are pretty respectful about it. My mom has been harping a little more frequently, but she just wants a grandkid period. I feel like I have youth and the fact I'm still in school on my side. Once I tell them that it wouldn't be any time soon if we did, they've pretty much stopped asking.
