gift question re: work coverage
While I was out for 8 weeks, another assistant took over my support duties for the CIO. She's in Texas so it was mostly travel and scheduling but he can be pretty high-maintenance so I can't imagine it was easy for her.
I want to send her a thank you gift but I'm not sure what to send. I don't really know her besides corresponding at work so I'm not sure what her likes/interests are.
Any ideas for me? I know everyone likes edible things but I'd like something nicer than cookies/etc.

Re: gift question re: work coverage
Do you know what town she lives in? Maybe a GC to a store or restaurant there?
Flowers?
What do you know about her?
She's in Dallas but it's so big, I don't know the area she likes to frequent and she could even live out in the suburbs.
I'd be worried about the flowers dying in a day or two.
I know virtually nothing about her, just that she's super awesome for helping me.

I was thinking GC to restaurants too... maybe with a note that said to take the night off, she deserves it after working so hard these past few weeks or something like that
is there another co-worker that knows her better that could help with ideas?
i like the idea of delivering flowers at work. it definitely falls into- its the thought that counts and there are tons of coupon codes right now thanks to valentines day. if you do flowers- have them show up on a monday so she can enjoy them all week.
might be cheesey but you could maybe do one of those "philly" themed food gift baskets and ship that.
Maybe something uniquely Philly, like soft pretzels or cannolis from Termini's?
After Charlie was born we got a cute gift basket from some website, I think it was giftbaskets.com. The basket was great and I looked around on their website and they had tons of cute ones for all occasions.

Personally, I'd rather receive a Philly themed gift basket or an Incredible Edibles bouquet over trad. flowers. Totally love Edible bouquets. Fav idea is a box of Termini cannolis though!
