Kardashian Topless Jean Ad (PIP)

image

I heard about this yesterday morning (on the Today show? or GMA?) and basically everyone is saying the Kardashian's are so done that they're trying everything they can to bring more popularity to themselves.

Oh, and the ad is for Sears.

Thoughts?

  • They've all got gorgeous hair...

  • They are saying they're done? I feel like they are still all over the place.

  • I rolled my eyes when I saw this.   You don't need to be topless to advertise a pair of jeans.    This doesn't make me want to buy their jeans.   Maybe if I saw the jeans paired with a cute top, or looking like something I'd actually wear walking down the street, I'd feel differently.   They're just such narcisstic famewhores.   This is just for attention.

And the picture is so photoshopped, there's zero credibility that the jeans would look fine on a normal person.

  • I agree that the ad is photoshopped.  They might actually sell more if they showed a real photo with Kim's booty, or Khloe's curves.

I agree! All 3 of them have very different body shapes (Kourtney is tiny, Kim's got a donk, Khloe has curves), and I think it would be beneficial to see a "real" fit. But of course, it's photoshopped.

And I don't think topless ads help.

Definately.  I'm surprised some parents are ok with the Kardashians being role models for their children.

  • I thought Kim was over the whole posing naked thing (per an old episode). Guess not.

And this ad is ridiculous. And Khloe especially is ridiculously photo-shopped.

  • Poor Sears...  Who ever thought it was a good idea to bring the Kardashian line into Sears should be fired and banned from all retail establishments.  I saw some skanky Kardashian dresses on the clearance rack the other day.  Hopefully, the Kardashian line will be a total fail and we won't have to see their stoopid faces when we enter Sears stores.

  • Kim looks weird like her face was badly photoshopped on a random body.  I'm watching the Kim and Kourt NY episode where Kim and her mom go to Dubai.  I wish Kim would move to Dubai and live her dream of being a fake middle eastern princess!! They are so over exposed!

  • Sears and a topless ad do not go together at all.

From what I understand the Kardashians shopped the idea of a clothes line to several different department stores, and Sears was the only one that was really excited and willing to work with the family and their demands.

I make a point not to purchase brands that the Kardashians promote.  I'm sure there are other people out there as well who do the same.

This doesn't surprise me at all.

  • Meh, I really don't care that they're topless.  It's not nearly as racy as other ads you see on a daily basis (internet, magazines, what have you), but it's just not an attractive image.  If I thought any celeb endorsed jean would fit me correctly I would think it would be from a Kardashian, someone who knows how to work the booty! But this ad doesn't make me feel that at all.
  • Isn't kourtney KU? I call major bluff on this.

  • Completely forgot about that !
  • I'm no ad-exec, BUTT.....I would have done the jeans' ad with the Ks all in a row facing away from the camera.....topless.....but, with their arms around eachother and an ad that was showing off the diff butts they all have...like "which K are you?"
  • I really don't see the big deal, jeans ads have featured topless models before. As for the real people buying their stuff, I am sure there are many people who do. Having the Kardashians would be a big draw to a store like Sears with their floundering place in the retail market.

But do you normally think of Sears as being a big purveyor of sexy ads?  Not usually.  It's strange.

  • They are all beautiful girls and I don't know if it's the color or what but it looks like an ad for topless mom jeans.

I don't like how they are posing......they should have done what I mentioned, but not even shown them from the shoulders up.

This is exactly how I feel.  I am so sick of them.  It feels like I can't go anywhere without hearing about them or seeing a product they are trying to sell.  I think there are much better role models that these companies could be picking to advertise their products.

Me too! As soon as I hear that the Kardashians are teamed up with a certain company or brand I stay far away. There is no need for any of us to be giving that family our hard earned money.
