Anyone been stationed in Alaska for the Army?
My friends just got orders for
Anchorage, AK. Any info would be appreciated they have two kids so will need child care.
Re: Anyone been stationed in Alaska for the Army?
My parents used to be stationed up in Anchorage, but Air Force not Army. Although the bases are seriously five minutes apart.
We lived in Eagle River, which was like 15 minutes from the base. It was a great little community and not too far away from the fun in Anchorage. It was close to a lot of really good schools and a lot of stores, so we didn't have to make long trips to Anchorage if storms happened or anything.
I don't have any help on daycare though.
I was born on Elmendorf Air Force base. We were stationed in Anchorage with the Army as well.
I believe that we lived off of James street. It's nice there with how much space you have and how large the homes are.
My mom worked at the Child Development Center there.. are you not wanting to use the base CDC/YS services?
