Re: Hunger Games Trailer #2
Okay, so I haven't read these books because - I have to be completely honest - the premise sounds like something that would really disturb me. Kids fighting to the death? How is this going to be made into a movie that doesn't creep me out?
I'll note, too, that I refuse to see the movie version of 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo', even though people rave, because there are 1-2 scenes in the book (which, if you've read it, you'll know immediately what I'm referencing) that I found disturbing and I really, really don't need to see them acted out, even if just insinuated.
Also I have a really visual memory so when I see things that are disturbing, they stay with me forever.
My SIL got me the trilogy for X-mas, and I'm looking forward to the movie. I'm even going to try to get H to read the first one before we see the movie.

That totally bugged me too! I really don't see why they had to put that in the trailer, it's like they purposely wanted to annoy the readers.
