A friend of mine, who I have confided in regarding my marriage issues and wanting a divorce, texted me this morning and said her husband left her this morning. I don't know the details yet, but I am shocked that he left her, but not completely surprised this happened.
A couple times when I told her about things that were or weren't going on in my marriage, she said a lot of things were the same in her marriage too, but she never said either of them talked about leaving. I feel so bad for her because it was so sudden, but I truly think she'll be better off. She is with her family now and I told her that when she is ready to talk, I'll be there for her. She was my confidant and I will be hers too.
Re: Friend's husband left her today
Agreed. One of my friends separated from her husband the same time I did, for the same reason. She was actually a longtime friend of my H, but this crappy situation has brought us closer, and it really helps to have someone to vent to who is going through the same thing. It's even helpful to me for her to vent to me because I realize that, while it sucks, my situation is not unique, and I'm not the only one who feels this way! Try to hold it together and support each other. Her instinct will probably be to detach and sort of hibernate on her own for awhile, but I've found being with friends really helps once I get myself going and out of the house.
Thank you. I told her that when she is ready to talk I will be available. Tomorrow is going to be a rough day for her because she is coming home from a weekend at her mom's to a half empty house
I will definitely be thinking of her and will check in with her to make sure she is ok. Thanks ladies!
