It's crazy how quickly life changes
Before I went to bed last night, I was joking over Facebook with my good friend about our difference in taste in movies. We were talking about he loves fires (gulp) and explosions.
This morning, I wake up to find out that his house burned down at about 5am.
He's okay... he's out and fine. If anyone has any spare T&Ps for my friend and the other 9 families that were displaced by the fire... that would be great.

Re: It's crazy how quickly life changes
omg
Im glad he is safe!
And the worst part is... he's probably the best person I've ever met in my entire life. It was about 2 months ago that he was freakin' mugged. He's a pharmacist and had to quit his job at Walgreens because junkies came in one too many times and held a gun to his head. So he got a job at a hospital, and got mugged on the way home from there too. He's the type of person that would cut off his arm if it would benefit you... I can't believe all the stuff that happens to him. I made the mistake of looking for a news story and the photos are unbelievable.
It probably doesn't help that my worst nightmare EVER is my house catching on fire in the middle of the night. And it REALLY doesn't help that I had a dream about my house being on fire probably about an hour before his house actually was burning down.

Ugh, I know. I slept MAYBE 15 minutes a night from middle school through about 75% of the way through high school. I was convinced that our house was on fire and I'd have to get up and walk downstairs to check.
The sad part about this...
I lived with a professional firefighter at the time. Shows you how much I trusted his azz.

Wow how terrible! I'm so glad your friend wasn't hurt.
My uncle's house burned down when I was a kid, and it terrified me, too. My bedroom was above the garage, and the fire safety people at school said that newspaper piles were unsafe, so you can imagine how I felt about the recycling bin right below my bedroom!
