The Woman in Black

is tres scary.

Like, hide under my coat embarassing my husband terror. Suspenseful, eerie, well timed, terrifying, no gore type of terror. Loved it. And I didn't think of Harry potter once.

go see it.

Bring a coat.

  • OP did you also see Insidious? To me, the commercial for "Woman in Black" looked very similar to Insidious. I thought Insidious was pretty scary too! I'm glad to hear there's not too much gore in "Woman in Black".

It's interesting how so many scary movies these days have really pushed the limit and have become chock full of disturbing and graphic imagery. I think of movies like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, or Birds, and those were also fregging scary, but without having to show blood and gore and mutilation every five minutes. I kinda miss that. These new movies (which I think the "Saw" series made popular) are just too graphic for my taste. I love to get creeped out my a good scary movie, but I don't like getting flashbacks of people being disembowled, or watching somebody's face melt. lol.

Ok time to stop ranting and get back to making meatballs. lol.
