Re: anyone do a travel photo wall in their house...
Great idea! Maybe check out Pinterest....
we do... in our basement, at the bottom of the steps. here's some pics. still needs some work- we plan to replace the ugly paneling at some point, and i have to straighten some of the pics... but you get the idea
This is a really crappy shot, but you get the idea. We have a couple of squares that aren't filled in and we will probably redo it after we get back from Europe but for now...

I don't have a picture of it but what we ended up doing was getting a drawing and a frame in each of the cities we went to while traveling through Europe. Every picture is a little different - some are pencil, some are water color, some are prints, some are post cards, etc. Each frame is also different because we purchased in that specific city.
I really need to get my butt in gear now and hang them!
I do have a really freaking cool piece of art I got in Amsterdam that I adore and you might like. The artist takes pictures of various "Amsterdam" sights and Photoshops them so they are all different looking. Then she puts them on canvas, puts little borders and they turn out awesome. She also does other places besides Amsterdam.

I am saving up my pennies for her to do me one of the US! I get comments on this piece of art anytime someone comes in my house.
I'm not talented enough to do it on my own but I think it would be a really interesting project if someone had the artistic ability to do it on their own!
Here is mine...Sorry about the level on top I'd forgotten that was even there
I don't but wanted to give my photography 2-cents, go big or go home. If you are going to do this I would get big prints, like 16x20 or larger. You will not regret it.
I hope this does not make anyone mad, I do not know Amy personally although I think she is am amazing photographer but here is a good example of what I mean. I also hope Amy does not mind the random traffic!

I blew up pictures to 16x20 at Costco, then got the clip frames from Hobby Lobby.
So Tasty, So Yummy
I have started a small wall collage our memorible events for us; so far the only major trip we've done is our HM, so it has that as well as wedding, engagement and our first major race together; but it will keep growing.
I love the idea (a friend got it for Christmas); of framing a map of the world/US/etc and putting pins to where you've visited.
After our trip in March, I plan on adding pics and also printing and framing this:
