Valentine overseas

Hey, I generally lurk on this page. But I was wondering if any of you have good ideas for valentines day when H is overseas? I want to do something creative, not just the normal care package. ..any ideas?? TIA!

Re: Valentine overseas

  • I stay away from anything too girly but always include a handmade card and letter. I generally add fun coupons for when he gets home. The one I sent recently had hand warmers, protein powder, the items above, and a few favorite chocolates. Nothing says sexy like protein powder and hand warmers I know (haha) but this works for us. :)

Mail this go around is too unpredictable so home baked goods are out.

  • The only creative thing I did for his February box was to make a calendar on Shutterfly with pictures of us, and then I hand wrote little messages through out it. I should have done it for the New Year but I totally forgot in the holiday insanity. Otherwise he got magazines, his favorite candy, a card and some little things out of the Target $1 section.
  • I usually find some little decorations or cheesy things for the holiday in the $1 section of Target.  I sent him 2 boxes for V-day technically and I bought little heart stickers too that I stuck to the inside flaps of the box.  I usually will buy candy he likes that are out for the holiday too.

  • We don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day but to have something to look forward to this year as a little milestone, I sent DH Heart shaped Reeses, his fav hersey bar, a card and I made him no bake cookies and sent it with extra stuff he asked for.
  • I did this when my husband was in the US but in a different state, but I know there are Dominos all over the world. See if you could get a hold of a Dominos or other food delivery place near him and buy a pizza w/ your credit card and have it delivered to him. I even got them to put the pepperonis in a heart shape. He thought it was awesome.
