question for you - have you ever driven to Byron Bay?

we are going in a few weeks time (first night away from baby for me - OMG!) looking forward to it though :)

we have to fly into Brisbane, because we had a Qantas voucher we had to use and they wouldn't let us use it on jetstar :(

we are just trying to decide whether we should rent a car or take the shuttle

it'd be about the same price, I'm just not sure - is the drive pretty stressful? would it be better to just shuttle down? its just that those shuttle vans are usually SO cramped & 2 hours seems like a long time for that.... I'm thinking we just get a gps with the car rental & do it in our own time - thoughts?

but we don't really need a car once we get there as we are staying really central...

Re: ***gblake

  • We've done the drive once. We went for the Blues Festival. I don't remember it being extremely long; maybe 2 to 3 hours. If it was me I would rent a car but thats because I'm not a shuttle fan.

Sounds like you'll have a good time!

  • yea i think its meant to be a 2 hour drive

i do think its a good idea to just drive - I don't mind a shortish shuttle - but 2 hours seems over the top!

    thanks :)
