Long Weekend trip ideas?

DH and I are taking a mini babymoon over President's Day weekend (Thurs night -Monday). We've narrowed it down to Phoenix, Orlando, San Diego, or Vegas, but we can't decide where to go. We have a bunch hotel and airline points, so that isn't a huge factor in our decision.

DH will definitely be golfing wherever we go. I'm sure I'll spend some time at a spa. We've been to Orlando and Vegas before, but there are still things that we haven't done or seen in those places. DH has been to San Diego before, too.

Suggestions? Where would you go?

Re: Long Weekend trip ideas?

  • I've never been to Phoenix or Orlando.  I went to Vegas a couple of months ago and I'm already itching to go back, so that'd be my vote!  :)

  • I'd skip Orlando because everything I'd want to do there wouldn't be workable when pregnant (ie theme parks). Phoenix has great spas and golf, plus good food and shopping. That's what I'd do.

  • I've never been to Phoenix but I bet it would have lots of things to do.  Call me shallow, but I wouldn't go to Vegas if I couldn't drink.

Okay duh, Lauren, I wasn't even thinking about that.  Yeah, I'd wouldn't go to Vegas unless I could drink.

Yeah, that's kind of what I'm thinking too. The only reason Vegas is on the list is because we can get there/stay pretty cheap and there are lots of shows to see. At this point I think we're leaning towards Phoenix or San Diego.

  • Phoenix (or Scottsdale, right next door) has some very nice resorts and great golfing.  I'd probably go there or San Diego.
  • I vote San Diego.... Lots to see & do :)
