Today got off to a bad start...45 min. late to the nanny, it?s -20 outside but no snow, the passenger door in the car is frozen shut, and DD and I have a cold with a wretched cough.

Morning! I think I've broken the back of this cold I have - it's just sitting on my chest now but at least the sneezing is gone. Didn't get a blocked nose this time thank god. But I need some food now... just realised I haven't had brekkie yet.
QOTD: A bit of Aha never went amiss or Whitney Heuston and who can forget Kylie in her 80's incarnation... and all the rest of the Stock Aitken Waterman "products" ... I mean "acts"! Rick Astley anyone?
How can I go about getting a Nanny? I would love one once a week, if that's even possible.
QOTD: In the 80s I loved New Edition and Michael Jackson. Ok, I was obsessed with MJ. When I listen to the 80s now, I like New Order.
Morning/Afternoon! Off start to the morning but it turned out ok. DH's work gave everyone today off so they could all enjoy the Super Bowl. Except DH has to work today, thanks to visitors, and he was too tired to wake up for the game, thankfully. My mom forgot that we told her what time we were leaving, so left her behind. No yummy breakfast at Cafe Lilou, oh, well. Spending the day cleaning up around the house, my mom is doing laundry, I have to try on clothes to see what fits for work clothes, and make dinner (split pea soup).

I'm back to work today after our week away in the Maldives. We were just so overjoyed to come back on Saturday to snow! Talk about shock to our systems! Anyways, the day off yesterday to relax and get settled back in was much needed and now we're both refreshed to head to the office this morning. My boss is out today because of the snow, so should be a pretty quiet day to get caught up and back in the swing of things.

It's a public holiday here so H is home. We bought a pool table yesterday so we spent the day rearranging our condo to make room for it.

Morning (although it's after lunch here)! Had a fun evening with friends staying up late to watch the Super Bowl! I hate the Patriots with a passion, so I was really happy with the outcome!
I'm exhausted today at work, but I'm all ready halfway through the day, so I think I'll make it through. Looking forward to sleep tonight though!
QOTD: Madonna, Bangles, Cindi Lauper, Debbie Gibson, Whitney....I lurve 80's music! Used to go to 80's night all the time :-P

My Doha Adventures
Afternoon! I had a meeting of sorts with a big agency to discuss opportunities which turned out well, However, on the way, I got pulled over because I was driving a car with Saudi plates (yes, seriously, a woman driving a SAUDI car IN BAHRAIN!) which has never happened in the last 3 years and I think the guy was seriously just being a jerk, b/c he had pulled over another expat lady before me and someone else just after me. I didn't get a ticket or anything, which would have been even more crazy, but it was still super annoying. He was like "women driving in Saudi cars - big problem" I'm like yes, that is the BIGGEST problem you have here. JC!
Anywayssss, not much else going on today, doing some laundry and cleaning up the kitchen.
QOTD: I love all of it. seriously. It's embarrassing how much 80s music I have and love.

Good morning! I'm about to leave for work (took a half day today) with my Giant's t-shirt on. I'm so excited about the game last night! I'm with Jenny - hate the Patriots so love to see them lose, but I grew up a Giants fan so this is all the more exciting. Nice short day and then I'll see if I'm awake enough for the gym
QODT: Another 80s fan here. I have a ton of 'top 80s dance hits' on my jogging playlist. Have to say Madonna if I have to pick one though!
