Diaper Rash...

Gianna has had this diaper rash for awhile now, it gets bad then seems to be almost gone and it's back! I think it is made worse when she poops, so maybe something she's eating? It doesn't seem to bother her though. The rash ranges from small to large red bumps (kind of like a pimple). It doesn't resemble a yeast rash that she's had before. I've tried anti-fugal cream as well as desitin. Nothing seems to touch it. Any ideas what it could be from?? 

We haven't changed diapers. We've been letting her run around naked at home (which has been very beneficial with potty training, yah!) but she still sleeps in diapers and when we leave the house she's in a diaper. I just can not figure it out! Thought maybe you ladies could help me

    DS had a rash like that last spring. I even stripped his CD's and put him in disposables for a week and it didn't make a difference. We spent hours airing out (and cleaning up accidents :) I finally took him to the pedi and he prescribed bacitracin and an anti-fungal (can't remember the name of it) to rotate with every diaper change. It cleared up within a few days and never came back.

    Ana has that kind of rash in response to an antiB allergy. It acted in the same way going away and then coming back in full force with poo. It's definitely yeasty so some lotramin or neosporin AF is a good idea on a very dry bottom. Then some barrier over that of a thick, not lotioney, cream like burts bees is best. We eventually had to get the Rx stuff and it took a while to go away. Obviously no oranges, tomatoes, strawberries, etc. While its healing too.

    Fifth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    This sounds exactly like my DD.  It comes and goes, but it always appears with a poo diaper.  It looks so painful, as it is always bright red and sometimes has pimple-like bumps.  Our pedi prescribed some cream that has an antifungal and some other stuff in it.  She also said that since DD is so sensitive, she might need a "barrier" of a mild diaper cream at every diaper change to protect her skin from her poo.
