Josh Powell killed himself and his boys

This was one sick bastard. Link here.

It says later in the article that the boys were starting to talk about the night their mom went missing and that they mentioned her being in the trunk. So incredibly sad.

Re: Josh Powell killed himself and his boys

  • I watched a Dateline special about this seriously in the last two months. Crazy! This guys's dad was super shady too. How sad for the grandparents who had custody. :(

This reminded me of Casey Anthony and the suspected/probable reason she killed Caylee.

  • I hadn't heard that they were starting to talk until this morning. As if the whole thing isn't sad enough.. that just wants to make me throw up.

LB -- what was the Casey Anthony "reason"? I don't think I ever heard that.

That Caylee had just started becoming vocal and could have very easily given away Casey's web of lies. Something as small as George or Cindy asking Caylee what she did that day or where she had been would have been enough to ruin Casey's facade.

  • The whole thing makes me sick. I can't imagine how traumatized that visit supervisor must be.

  • Wait, what day? I'm confused. What happened before she was killed that she could have talked about?

    No kidding!

Not any particular event or day. Casey's whole life was a lie. George and Cindy thought Casey worked at Universal while Zanny watched Caylee during the day. She didn't work and there was no Zanny and Caylee was developing enough language to tell them those things. So George and Cindy find out that Casey doesn't have a job, there is no nanny, start questioning Casey's life and then everything falls apart for Casey.

  • Goootcha. I didn't realize she had been lying to her parents all along. I thought she had just lied to the police on the spot because she didn't have answers. Ugh, that's even worse.

  • That's so disgusting. It talked about the kids running inside, which implies they were excited to see their dad... and that's how he repaid them.

I thought the same thing when I read the article. It made me nauseous.
