How about Madonna?
Might as well spark a topic. Since everyone on the boob tube is speaking on madonna, what do you ladies think about her performance.
One thing, I saw MIA and I had no idea who she was. I never saw her dressed like that!

I thought for a 53 year old woman, she looked good and did a good job. I would have liked to see more energy out of her though.

I enjoyed the show for what it was... a measly halftime performance. Some folks have way too high of expectations for a silly 20 minute show.
In my opinion, she kept it classy and exciting and I enjoyed it more than last year's show by the Black Eyed Peas. I love her old school jams, so of course I enjoyed the older songs more than the new one. Good mix of "surprise" singers there, and who wouldn't want to be carried out on a chariot proceeded by half naked men!?? For real, I though it was a good show, lip sync or not. She looked shaky in those boots a few times, but overall she seemed to be enjoying herself which also adds to the performance.
Yeah, I wondered why she was not moving so much but I loved the way she came on the stage. That was hot!!!
Her spot on the stage with Nikki Minaj it was until the end that I noticed it was her.
My IL picked on Cee-Lo and his choir robe get-up. They said he stole a curtain and put it over himself. Their words, not mine.
Madonna looks great for 53. She must have because I had no idea how old she is.
I didn't see the whole performance (totally missed the whole MIA thing), but I thought she did well for a 53 year old. She's in great shape, and she did seem a bit "slower" but that's to be expected. I enjoyed it for the most part, the whole people on the rope thing was craziness!
I would have liked to see more energy too, but overall, I thought it was great.
Um, I still don't know who Mia is. I know she is the one who flipped off the camera, but...beyond that, um, yeah, no clue.

I thought it was just OK personally. Probably b/c I don't find her to relevant and her new song is too "bubble gum pop" for a 53 year old. It sounds like Gwenn Stephani's "Banana".
It was an obvious lip synch, but that is mandated. They HAVE to lip synch.
Theatrically speaking, I thought it was fun.
I only remember MIA because she performed at the Grammys a year or two back and was VERY pregnant. She wore some crazy get up and was dropping it like it was hot on stage, I thought for sure she was gonna go into labor right then.
Other than that grammy show, I hadn't really thought much of her since then.

She is a rap artist. She is from Sri Lanka but raised in England.
If you remember the movie Slumdog Millionaire? She did the song with the gunshots in it called "Paper Planes".
Actually, one of her songs was in a car commercial. "Galang" I think.
Yes, I have been following her career for a while. She is a bit eccentric I will give you that. (lol)
I scared the crap out of H when he came in the house and I was blasting Paper Planes right when the hook started (with the gun shots). LOL
I haven't read through the whole post so I'm not sure if someone else already mentioned this, but I heard she injured her ankle before the performance. That may explain why she was awkward and unstable.
That said, I thought she still looked really good. It was better than some of the other past performances in the Super Bowl.
