Anyone else grumpy today?
I have a case of the Mondays. Probably because our furnace conked out Saturday night and it's only 65 degrees in the house. And of course it's on a week where I have jury duty and can't commit to be home for hours during the day to wait on the repair guy, DH is busy at work, and FIL is OOT for a few days and can't help. Thank goodness we're not having a super cold winter.
Anyone else want to share a Monday morning gripe? I'm hoping this gets it out of my system so I can move on and be productive
Re: Anyone else grumpy today?
I'm grumpy about the Pats loss last night and my slight hangover.
I would be even grumpier if I wasn't working from home today. Usually my telework day is at the end of the week, but they let me switch it since I'll be in training later this week.

If it makes you feel any better, 65 is what we often have our thermostat set to
We have two great space heaters if you need to borrow them.
MIL is driving me bat sh!t crazy these days. I must have been high when I thought we could possibly live in their neighborhood. Whenever we see them, she is totally up C's butt and will not just back up (sometimes, literally. like, give me a 2 ft radius to let me discipline my kid, would you?) to let me handle him.
And as obsessed as I am with our home search, she is even worse. She's started going to open houses for places she thinks we'll like. WTF? And constantly emails DH listings (often expired because she insists on using realtor.com) of houses we've already seen online and discussed. And wants to talk and talk and talk and rehash every detail of every listing. GAHHHHH. I think my kid and my house hunt have become her new hobbies and that's not cool.
i'm insanely cranky this morning. my team played like crap and lost the super bowl last night
i also had a minor headache when i went to bed and woke up with a borderline migraine that is finally starting to wane.
I'm just plain ol' tired. I went to bed 30-45 minutes later than I should have. When I was almost asleep, the smoke alarm in our bedroom beeps and a voice says, "low battery." Jolted me out of my relaxed state, and prompted us to change the battery right then since that's the only smoke alarm we have in use. Of course it couldn't have been on low battery in the middle of the afternoon or even a couple of hours earlier.
Planning Bio
I'm a little irritated with our realtor. We put our house on the market last week. It went into the MRIS on Friday. She told us that putting it in early Friday morning would allow brokers planning their weekend showings to see it and plan to visit.
Well, her assistant didn't get it into the MRIS until almost 4p on Friday. So guess what? No showings this weekend.
I need this house to SELL!
Stand up for something you believe in.
This, exactly. I feel like I'm hungover, even though I'm clearly not.
I also dread Mondays in general these days, because my boss is a total tool, and it's really hard to gird myself for the work week.
i had one beer yet feel like i had 7.
the only thing i am grateful for is that i don't live in new york. in 2008, i came into a condescending e-mail from my horrid boss that included "congrats big blue!" even though she knew i was a new england fan. um, thanks for making my day worse?
Ooh - that sounds miserable. Fingers crossed that everything can be fixed quickly for less than a fortune.
MPD - I love the idea of a space heater, but I'm not sure how I could get it from you before the repair guy comes on Thurs. I'd totally end up bailing on schlepping around the beltway mid-week :P And OMG at your MIL. You dodged a bullet when you passed on the house in their hood!
I'm convinced machines can sense when the least convenient time to fail would be just so they can kick the bucket right then!
i'm grumpy b/c sprout woke up at 12:30am & didn't go back to sleep until 3:30am or so & I needed to be up at 7:30am. I'm even more grumpy that technically it was my husband's night to deal with any wake up & the morning routine, but I ended up dealing with both.
I'm exhausted and have SO MUCH technical work to do (aka, I need to be about to focus).
sigh.
I'm also just grumpy because it's Monday and I want more weekend. We usually schedule our "fun" day for Sunday, which makes me dread Monday more than I really should. If we ran errands on Sunday, I probably wouldn't mind going into work so much.
