Two thumbs up for Valanni
I went to Valanni last night with five of my girlfriends for CCRW and had to report back -- we loved it! The place is cute inside, small but not cramped. The bartender was a little sucky (attitude, not ability to make drinks), but that was our only minor complaint.
Food was great! First course was tapas-style apps, but everything was pretty decent sized. Highlights were the brussell sprouts (which are NOT my thing normally), the flatbreads and the baked brie.
Entrees were full size and we didn't really share, but everyone liked their meals. I had a delicious Kobe burger that was cooked perfectly.
And the dessert...oh the dessert. I had the Oreo Beignet, which was basically like fried Oreos with caramel and vanilla ice cream. Heaven.
Definitely one of the better RW experiences I've had. Server was good, didn't feel rushed, plus yummy food.

I love Valanni! Glad you guys had a good RW meal there. Their baked brie is really good - if it's the the same or similar to what is on their app/tapas menu I always order it :-) That oreo dessert sounds heavenly!
They make great cocktails. We'll have to go back sometime when you're not KU!
