Neena has officially self-weaned. My milk has almost completely dried up and three days ago she had her last latch-on. She looked at me and said, "mama, mama milk all gone." And, she hasn't latched since. I'm at peace with it since it was on her own terms, but I'm still sad. :-(

Re: Neena weaned
aww. I could see how that would make you sad, as it would make me sad. She nursed for a long time! Go neena!
and so cute how she let you know. Funny how I thought toddlers talking and nursing was odd before I started nursing, now I find it so adorable.

First, congrats on making it over 2 years!
Second, what Kim said! I was really sad when I nursed Taryn for the last time when she was 22 months old--like tears in my eyes sad, but what helped was knowing that I was going to have another baby soon and would get to do it all over again.
Ditto this.
You did amazingly Jenn! What an awesome accomplishment. And Neena's reaction is too sweet.
Can't wait til you have a new little one to nurse!
Agree! What a beautiful accomplishment, and Neena's words, made me tear up! Hang in there, mama!
