Just when you think you don't have to worry about changing your mind about the names you've got picked out, DH decides that maybe he wants to change our boy name!

Re: Names for Baby
We could not, for the life of us, decide on a boys name. Thanks to One Tree Hill and his favorite soccer player we were able to compromise!
Choosing baby names are never easy.
Choosing a name was the hardest thing!
We said we were going to take 3 boy name and 3 girl names to the hospital with us and decided once we knew the gender and met the baby. We ended up only taking 3 boy names and had no clue for a girl. Good thing we had a boy! It took us about 36 hours to actually decide even though we had a list. I let Rusty make the final decision and it wasn't the name I would of picked, but I was too exhausted to really care at that point.
All along we had Grant John picked out for a boy name.
At thanksgiving John happened to be looking through the baby name book at my sisters and came across Zane - English variation for John. Said he was still fine with the name we had.
His family has this tradition of naming at least one boy John William so John is John William III, it's not a tradition set in stone. So John didn't want to have a boy and name him the same and have him be the IV since there is several John "our last name" around already.
Last night he suddenly says to me, what would you think if I wanted to change the boy name we have picked out to Zane Liam? (honestly I'd rather have him tell me this now so we can discuss it than have had him wait until baby was born) So, I told him well it is kinda choppy that way, what about doing Zane William. This way at least one of the names is still traditional and it's the same.
I guess we wait and see.. but I have a feeling that will be our top boy name now!

Just wanted to say that Felipe and I *love* the name you picked
We're choosing family names this time around in case it's our only son, but when we were originally brainstorming, both of those names topped the list!
I'm glad you like them. I'm also glad we chose the ones we did because they fit him perfectly. Thank you!
I'm doubting our boy name, but Ian seems so set on it that I don't think I can change it. And the middle name is all his idea too...which I want to change. Blah. Maybe I should just hope for a girl since I love that name?!
Seriously..this naming a kid thing is HARD!
I didn't like Zane Liam either so that's why I suggested sticking with William. We shall see.. I'm thinking I need to buy a baby name book to see what other variations there are for John, because while I'm okay with Zane and it's grown on me I'm definitely not crazy about it.
