I stopped by the Target on NW Expressway and May this morning to get some stuff and see if any Jason Wu was left. They actually had quite a few things. The navy dress with full skirt and the stripe at the bottom was gone, as was the full light blue skirt I liked. They had plenty of the red striped tee-shirt dress, the blue floral pleated skirt, and the blue floral dress w/ the yellow belt. Also had a ton of the tie-neck tops.
I tried on the red striped t-shirt dress and really liked it. I didn't get it, though, because it has sheer ribbon trim around the edges and in a strip right at the upper chest. I could see the top of my bra through it. Even if I wore a demi bra, the straps would show and I'm not willing to deal with a strapless bra for such a casual dress.
I LOVED the blue floral dress with the yellow belt. Loved so much. It would be perfect with the white wedge sandals I have for summer. I couldn't pull the trigger on $40 for it, though. I have plenty of summer dresses.
I also tried the navy polka dot tie neck top. Also loved. I could see wearing it with a red pencil skirt or a cream fuller skirt. I didn't get it, but I probably will go back and pick it up. They had a few left in my size. And I have a whopping $1.49 left on a GC, so that's my justification. ![]()
Re: Jason Wu review, if anyone cares. Plenty left!
I stopped by the Target on Memorial just a little bit ago. They were sold out of all of the bags, the cat shirt, and had a few of the navy dress (size 16) and one of the yello dress with the pearls (also size 16). Some guy was loading up a cart full of stuff and the sales associate told him he could only buy one of each item and if it wasn't sold out by now, then selling it on ebay would be dumb. It was hilarious.
I also love the dress with the yellow belt.
I am 99.9% positive DH bought me the black cat shirt off of ebay.
They have the black cat shirt at May! I didn't look at sizes. I think they had maybe 5 of them left, though.
Ha. I think you convinced me to go back and get it, too! I feel like I NEED it to wear and sit on a patio with a bloody mary on a spring Sunday afternoon.
I agree with Ami and I am glad she said it first and not me. You can NEVER have too many cute summer dresses. Ever.Ever.Ever.Ever.
