    I think nationally, the statistic is about 35-40% of women will be assaulted in their lifetime.  I know several girlfriends who have been - so sad.  :(

    I was sexually assaulted by my 2 step sisters when I was about 8 years old. I never confronted them because I was too ashamed at the time and I haven't seen them in almost 15 years now.

    These numbers are tragic, and my heart breaks for all of you who have had to experience assault/abuse in any way, shape or form. There are some incredibly strong women on this board.
