Happy Monday!

So.tired.  I can't seem to kick this cold that's been forming.  It hasn't gone over to full blown "stay home from work" status, but it's nagging, and that's annoying.

We got a LOT done at the house this weekend.  None of it really kitchen related, but that's ok, it was all necessary.  I got the second coats of paint on the walls in the baby's room, while Derek did the framing he needed to do to get the hallway reno done.  We're moving a door around, adding a linen closet to the hallway, making the closet in one bedroom much bigger (making it the "master") and adding a closet in the other large-ish room.  Phew, I get tired just typing it out.

Yesterday we tackled cleaning out the Room of Crap.  You know that room you have where things go that you don't know where else to put?  Ours was epic-ally full.  But we cleared it out (and purged a lot of crap) and I got a coat of paint up.  That room is to be the new master, so I wanted to paint before we moved the bed in.  Hopefully we'll be moved into there by the end of the week!

Derek met one of his bosses friends on Friday afternoon, and for now, he's got a job.  He had to be out of the house by 6am this morning, bletch.  Hopefully this can be something to hold him over until he can get in with another company doing installations again.

Tonight I expect to be low key, as we're both pretty exhausted from the weekend!

How is everyone today?  Have a good weekend?

Re: Happy Monday!

  • First of all...Go Giants! I'm not so much a Giants fan, but I'm for sure not a Pats fan. Excellent game. I'm totally kicking myself this morning for drinking and eating the weirdest combination of food last night.

Thankfully, today is super low key at work, and tonight should be all new shows. I'm going to try and watch the new show Smash. It seems like it will be neat. Otherwise, hopefully to bed early. The bub has been on this schedule of waking us up at 430 or so. This morning it was 5. I'm not thrilled.

  • Good morning!

The weekend was pretty low key for us.  We are letting the daughter of one of SIL's neighbor live with us while she finished up her last semester of school.  She moved in on Saturday and so far, it seems to be ok.  She'll be here probably until June.

I have a telephone interview this morning and I will gladly take some vibes.  I am also having a party at the office after work for my side business, so hopefully that will go well also.

As of right now, I don't have anything else exciting going on this week.

  • Good luck reba!!

Well, I'm back.  Boo.  I flew from beautiful sun and sand to the first snowfall of the year.  We got back on Saturday and spent Sunday just chilling at home, unpacking and catching up with things.  But back to work today, although it's fairly quiet with a lot of people WFH because of the snow (bunch of wimps I say ... there's only a couple of inches!).  I'm just trying to get through emails and probably will head home early.  I'm still jetlagged and on resort time, so was up at 5am this morning.

I'll try to post pictures and a recap of the trip, which was amazing, later today.

  • Lots of Vibes Reba, I hope it goes well!

My weekend wasn't to exciting. Saturday we dropped the boys off at noon at MIL's. It was great to have some time to actually clean the house and bring in wood, without tripping over toys, and 2 kids tugging at me.  Even better waking up Sunday to a nice clean house.

Saturday night we went out with friends to dinner, which I ate way to much, and the scale shows it today. Yesterday was filled with laundry, and snuggling/playing with the boys.  I then watchedthe Super Bowl, and was very dissappointed on how the Pats played.  Even though I am not a Giants fan, they played a great game, and deserved the win!

  • Vibes, reba!

I managed to keep myself fairly busy this weekend. I took care of most of my housework and laundry Friday night and Saturday so that I could just enjoy the rest of the weekend. Saturday I went out for drinks with a friend and got caught up on Top Chef.

Yesterday my mom was in town for a basketball game pre-superbowl. We had a great time hanging out together even though our team lost. I threw a few things in the crockpot before I left the house in the morning and Kyle and I enjoyed those things for dinner during the Super Bowl. I wasn't a huge fan of either team but was pulling for the Giants. Mostly I just wanted a good game so I was very happy with the game overall.

Tonight I just want to go to bed early. I have been sleeping terribly lately and am absolutely exhausted. Ugh.

  • Good morning ladies!

Saturday was my last day of training and yesterday was my first day on the floor. Luckily it was only a four hour shift, but today is a full one blah. I'm happy to have a job, though, and I'm enjoying all the perks that come with this one.

We did a major clean of the house yesterday, and now we're catching up on some laundry.  John starts a new job on Wednesday that will be a much better fit for him, so we're excited.

We bought a second car on Friday. It's nothing special,  an A to B, but we really needed it so I'm glad we got it done.

    Have a great day!

  • Good Morning!

The weekend was nice We didn't do much hung out around the house and watched the wonderful game last night! Go Giants. I am a huge manning fan especially Eli.

Today the boys and I have hair appointments and since dh is off he is going with me so he can take the boys on a walk while I get mine cut off. I normally just get a trim because thats all I have time for so I am excited about actually getting it cut.

I hope to catch some new shows tonight and do my workout video since I did not get up this morning and do it.

  • good luck Reba!

we had a pretty good weekend - we did our announcement photos on Saturday. she already sent me two sneak peeks and they are super adorable. can't wait to see the rest. we then went to dinner at Chop House with the ILs. it was deeeeelicious, and I have some leftover chocolate crepe to devour in the fridge.

Sunday we got 8 loads of laundry completed... I'd been putting it off for weeks, haha. then we went to a friend's house to watch the Superbowl. Sean made crap dip for the first time and it was amazing. of course, I fell asleep during the game.

tonight I'm meeting with our accountant to file our taxes. woohoo!

  • Good morning. This weekend I took the boys out to watch Russ play a ball game called Over the Line. It's really confusing but was interesting and fun to watch. Chasing Izaac around in the snow really played me out.

I made it to the doctor on Friday and he has been giving me antidepressants to treat my TMJ. I don't understand why, but it seems to be helping a bit and really knocks me out. Russ went too, he thinks he broke his thumb playing hockey over 3 weeks ago and got his x-ray results. Apparently he has a foreign wire in his ring finger. Questionable.

My little sister came in last night and is starting her course today so I have to go be her model today and get a pedicure. I'm excited to be able to help her out and also get a free pedicure haha. I was actually going to go in and get one today. It's Russell's last day home today so it's going to be a pretty low-key day. Just getting him ready for work and relaxing a little bit.

  • Good morning, ladies.

:::vibes::: to you, Reba!  Good luck with the interview.

SB was fun - good food and beer, and our best friends.  The bad part - I've been awake since midnight.  I was getting away from the insomnia, but it seems to be back.  ugh.

    Have a great day, everyone!

  • Good luck Reba!  Keep us posted.

Raynes, I totally know what you mean about the junk room.  We've been slowly tackling ours, but we need to step it up so that we can turn the office into a nursery and have somewhere for the office stuff to go.

The weekend was pretty low key.  Friday night, we went to a friend's new condo for dinner.  Her place is nice, but she is in dire need of furniture, so right now it just looks big an empty.  I'm sure it will all come in due time.  Saturday, I dug in and bought my first pair of maternity jeans.  Last week, things just stopped fitting the way they were supposed to.  Saturday evening, B and I ordered in Chinese food and just took it easy.  Yesterday, we ran some errands and then went to a friend's place for Superbowl.  It was fun to hang out, but I must admit that I wasn't as impressed by the commercials as I usually am.  That being said, I thought Madonna was fabulous, although her new song leaves something to be desired.

Today should be an ordinary day with a trip to Costco tonight.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Something about blocking receptors.  They give them for shingles too.

Good Luck Reba, vibes headed your way!

I did girl time on Saturday, one of my BFF's is getting married so we talked about her wedding and then I got together with another BM and talked about the parties.

C ended up working 20 out of 39 hours because their overnights were stuck out of town (who leaves town in a snowstorm?!?).  This meant that he got home and then spent most of the night on the phone trying to find coverage and then getting a call at 11pm asking him to come in at 3am so the evening short could leave at 3am.

Sunday we had breakfast with the IL.  After we got home I worked on a paper while we watched the super bowl.

Today it is class and homework.

  • Good luck Reba!

My weekend started off great but slowly went down hill. Friday I had a snow day so I laid on the couch in front of the fire and read the The Help, which I loved. I can't wait to see the movie now.

Saturday was another lazy pajama day. I did a little light cleaning and some laundry but mostly just worked on a few craft projects and watched a couple of movies.

Sunday I got called into work to help my bosses wife prepare for two parties we are hosting this week, one political and one networking event. I was so pissed I had to spend my Sunday at work and on top of that AF showed and I had the worst cramps I've ever had in my life. I got home in time to see the second half of the Super Bowl but I was so tired and cranky I didn't enjoy it at all.

  • Good Afternoon/Evening!

Today was my first day home on my break between jobs. It seems really strange to be home, I feel like I'm skipping school. I had scheduled plumbers to come look at the house and they'll be back tomorrow to do the work. I'm hoping to stay productive and get some spring cleaning done this week.  Later this week I plan to have some me time and get a pedicure and my hair cut and colored before heading off to Alaska this weekend.

  • This weekend was pretty low key. Went to the movies on Saturday, but that was the extent of our excitement. I fell asleep to the Super Bowl at 7:30 last night...
Not much going on tonight either. I am planning on making boneless pork chops for dinner and then just lounging.

  • Our weekend was pretty low key.

Saturday I mananged to get a run in on the treadmill but it wasn't as long as I would have wanted.  When I went to take a walk break, I started having some pains so I just walked and then stopped.  We went to a friends to watch UFC and then had a really late night.

Sunday we slept in nice and late and I attempted to run again.  I got a bit farther but decided I didn't want to push myself too much running 2 days in a row.  We got some cleaning done around the house and then went to my Dad's to watch the Superbowl.

Today was okay.  Another early shift so I was pretty tired all day but managed to get to the gym after work and now I'm finishing up dinner.  Tonight we're going to a friends to watch tv.
