s/o Oscar Best Picture Winners Poll
My DH and I decided about 1.5 years ago to go back and watch every Best Picture Winner in Oscar history. We finally only have 3 left to go!
So...how many of the 83 have you seen?
Re: s/o Oscar Best Picture Winners Poll
Wow! What a cool idea. You've come so far. Way to go!
Skimming through, I counted around 25 that I've seen but many of those I saw so many years ago that I don't remember them all that well.

35, so less than half, and a few of those were in childhood. That's a neat goal. I need to see more of these.
Which three do you have left?
Quincy and Dexter, new BFFs
I used to be kris216.
The three I have left are; Wings (apparently it just got released on DVD for the first time in the last month), Greatest Search on Earth and Lord of the Rings! (I've been putting that one off, I'm just not really into that genre of movie).
We watched them in no particular order whenever we could find them on tv, netflix, amazon, etc. If you are interested in screening some of the older ones check out the TCM channel, they normally run them in high rotation leading up to the Oscars.
I've only seen 25 out of the list, and now I'd like to try and see more. Some of them I wasn't too crazy about.. The Apartment and Midnight Cowboy were just meh to me. But some of my favorite movies are on this list like Gone With the Wind, Titanic, and Forrest Gump.

I've seen 43 and would like to see all of them. TCM is doing their 31 Days of Oscar and a lot of them are on, so if you'd like to catch up, now is a good time to do it.

The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is awesome! That is one of the series that DH and I can just watch over and over and it never gets old. I would recommend that you watch the first two movies first (if you haven't already) or else you really won't understand what is going on in the final one. And watch the extended editions if possible, they're longer, of course, but they answer some questions that the regular film versions leave out.
Geez, only 17 for me. I need to start watching some of the older movies and more from the 90's.
Also, the oldest is The Sound of Music and that was just recently, like during Christmas.

I've seen parts of some of the others, but didn't count them unless I had seen the complete theatrical release in one sitting.
