Morning!

I am freezing my chichis off... What are you up to? How's the weather?

QOTD: Would you prefer to live in a cold climate, hot climate, or continually moderate where it is mostly the same temp all year round?

Re: Morning!

  • Morning! :-) Working today and then heading to a Zumba party this evening! It's been a year since the current instructor started teaching Zumba, so he's having a 90 minute class to celebrate, and will probably raffle off gifts and things. Should be fun!

Weather is good here! It's around 70F here and sunny.

QOTD: I think I actually enjoy living in a hot climate. Aside from the crazy hot summers, the temperature is perfect almost all year round, and it's sunny every day. If I need to see some snow, I'll just go on vacation :-P

  • Good morning. I was catching up on the prebabyblog that was posted here last week. It's cold and sunny.

QOTD: I like warmer/hotter weather, but I hate it when it's hot in Germany. I prefer the cold weather here.

  • Good morning. It?s terribly cold. It?s snowing just a little. More like powdered sugar than snow, but whatever. I have a nasty cough and DD does too, but I sent her off this morning anyway...mom of the year.

QOTD: warmer/hotter weather. But you need breezes and fans, so not like hot weather here in Germany.

  • Good morning ladies.  I am trying to put Jax for his nap while keeping an eye on Leo with his Play Doh.  I'm sick so that's no fun, but I am trying to find something to do today b/c I'll go mad staying inside all day with my kids lol.

QOTD: Honestly, I loved living on the east coast of the States because at least there I had 4 seasons.  I couldn't handle hot or cold all year.

  • Morning. Glitter, it's powder-sugaring here, too. I'm exhausted because while I was gone over the weekend, something went wrong and DD decided it would be cool to start waking up every 1.5 hours during the night just for the heck of it (and maybe to have a sip or two of milk), and screaming until I come in so she can look at me and giggle (cue Nelson's Ha-Ha from The Simpsons).

QOTD: Hot weather. Granted, our apartment here is like an igloo in the winter, but the few days every decade that it gets above 100?, it's a haven of coolness that makes the heat perfect. Maybe we should have rethought things to account for the 99.99999% of the time that it is not over 100? here.

  • Good morning ladies.  It's a bit chilly here today too, but not too bad.  No snow yet, but I heard we may be getting more later this week.

I'm still on Maldives time, so up again at 5am this morning.  I don't mind too much, though - was able to get a workout in, relax and eat breakfast, catch up on emails and slowly get ready for work.  There's a happy hour with coworkers after work today which should be fun.

QOTD: I would go with moderate.  My ideal comfort range is in a fairly narrow band, so that would be best for me.  As jenny said, if I want hot or cold, I can just go on vacation!

  • Good morning! It's still cold here, though I think it might be getting a littler warmer.

I'm going to the gym today, pick up some groceries and tonight I'm having friends over for a traditional American meal of mac and cheese (the Kraft variety), chips and salsa and we will be drinking from red Solo cups. They are American too, so they won't be offended :D.

QOTD: Warm, but not HOT. I want to be able to go outside and enjoy it.

  • Morning!  Actually it was cool and overcast today, so I was feeling springy (or autumn-y) and walked up to the grocery to find things I needed for the brioche-style King Cake I am attempting tomorrow.  It will be my first attempt at a yeast bread since moving here.  I am a bit nervous, but pretty excited to test it out.

QOTD:  Cold.  I hate being hot.  I really like to wear winter clothes, sweaters, wool skirts and comfy flannel pajamas -- and fluffy socks!

Good morning. I was catching up on the prebabyblog that was posted here last week.

I'm becoming an addict and I actually can't wait for her introduction of baby Alexis.  I know a lot of people think she's nuts, but there's something about her I like.

Right now I am watching murder mysteries and babyMadrid is twisting around on her playmat so she can see the tv.  Woops.  Today I skyped with my best friend from high school and I enjoyed it, but it also makes me sad how we've drifted apart.  I know it makes sense, but it's still kind of sad.  She's not very into the internet so it's been a bit of a struggle to stay connecting.  Add in a 9 hour time difference along with extremely packed schedules and voila, there goes your friendship!

QOTD: I'm not sure.  I used to always swear up and down I'd love to live somewhere hot, but I am really liking cold with sun.  So I guess I could live somewhere cold as long as there is quite a bit of sun.  I don't like gray weather (a negative if we move to Germany).  As long as there is sun the temperature doesn't bother me too much.

  • Not much going on today. Little girl is currently sleeping on my chest and I don't plan on moving until she wakes up, although I am starving! I have to get to the grocery store today as we're running low on food. I've been making good dinners for the past two weeks, but I really need to be better about eating more during the day so I have to come up with a plan before going to the store.

QOTD: A continually moderate climate would be my pick. I actually like London specifically because of the weather.  It has been unusually cold here the past 2 weeks, but I'll take this over months of even colder weather. I also like that the summer gets some hot days, but never really too hot. I always tell DH he wins points for moving us to London because of the weather.

    It's on her blog now...

Nothing much on the cards today.  Gotta run to the shops on my lunch break and get dh a birthday present... yes, I'm a bad wife, it is today!  N was crying lots apparently at drop off this morning - hope she settles soon.

QOTD: moderate for me... a bit dryer than Dublin is and a little warmer too but I couldn't take places like either the Middle East or Norway - too hot and too cold!!
