J is going to the dentist :(

He slipped and fell at swim yesterday and essentially "bit the curb" of the pool.  His 2 front teeth are chipped and bottoms may be pushed too, he won't let me touch his mouth.  So I called the dentist who I went to 10+ years ago as a kid and the dentist got on the phone with me immediately and made an appointment for this morning since we were in Fishkill last night, and couldn't make it down to Mt.Kisco.  J is fine, he cried and then went right back into pool to finish lesson.   More of mommy worry and the look of the teeth.

Not exactly the reason for the 1st  appointment I wanted but I guess starting isn't a bad idea.

  • our first appointment was for a tooth that got chipped at a gym party :(

it wasn't bad and they didn't want the trauma of filing it - it was mostly to be sure it wasn't wobbly or affected a nerve.

i called my dentist since he's a family dentist on his cell - he's sort of family so I didn't mind interrupting his Saturday afternoon- lol! I was freaked out.

    hope he's ok!

  • Awe poor buddy! I hope everything goes smoothly today.

  • He had an X-ray taken and quick exam.  His one front tooth is a little loose so I have to keep an eye on it.  Not too bad, and chips she said to leave now, they aren't bad and he will grind them himself.  We go in 3months for a cleaning and checkup.  So happy!!

If anyone needs a place in Mt.kisco I have a great one.
