Re: S/O Atlantic City - Restaurants

  • Amy#s and Eagles told me I had to go to Dock's Oyster House.  And it was fabulous.  I would absolutely recommend going there!

I've also eaten at the Chelsea Prime and I find it very romantical there.  It overlooks the ocean and the cocktails are yummy.  Food is good too.

  • Ooh good to know. I was looking at both of them on yelp!
  • I third (fourth?) Dock's, we went based on recs from here and it was awesome. We also just tried Bobby Flay's steakhouse, great meal but not very romantic at all, I was kind of turned off by the location

    AMEN!  This place is great.

Another one I just tried this summer was the Knife and Fork Inn. It has been there for years and is owned by the same people that own Dock's.  You probably have seen it if you drive from points south through Ventnor and Margate to get to AC. It was a GREAT meal, with excellent beer selection. We were both incredibly pleased with our dinner, as were our dining companions.

Also, if you are looking for an Italian restaurant, try Angeloni's II (www.angelonis.com).

  • ditto Chelsea Prime. Or Chef Vola for a much smaller/intimate, Italian option.

  • We just went last weekend to Capriccio, which is an italian restaurant in Resorts.  The view is amazing, too.   It was a little pricey, but our friends had comps because apparently Resorts is very quick to give $$ when gambling..  The food was seriously AMAZING though.
