The Vow

I am so looking forward to this movie coming out this weekend....I have been seeing the trailers for weeks and weeks and want to see it so badly...Plus I love the song "Enchanted" by Taylor Swift in the movie...My hubby I am sure will not want to see it but I will with my kleenex in hand..I love a good tearjerker...Is anyone else looking forward to seeing this movie?

Re: The Vow

  • I told H that it's like the perfect rom-com formula.

Rachel McAdams is already in the most loved romantic movie (at least in the teens-20s age range), Channing Tatum is hot so girls already love him, and Taylor Swift is like the lesser version of a happy Adele.

It'll be a hit even if it's terrible.

Oh, AND it has Ben from Felicity in it! Extra-special, gold star, bonus points right there.

  • I'll probably wait for it to hit Netflix/Dvd.  Love Rachel McAdams, but this plot has essentially been done, and done, and redone.  Channing Tatum isn't really a selling point for me either, and I fall in the 20s range.  Just don't think he's a great actor, and he always comes across as kind of dumb for me.  I think he'll get better with age...I hope, what a waste of a face.  But Rachel McAdams was great in her interview on Live! With Kelly.... so I kinda wanna see it just for her.
  • I've been looking forward to it since I saw a preview in the theatre awhile back. Now I just have to convince my H to go with me!

    LOL.  Me neither.

  • My husband actually wants to see it lol but I think we'll wait until it comes out on DVD.  I love me some Channing and it seems like a good story, but just nothing special enough to spend $30+ dollars on to see in the theater.

I'm not even slightly interested in this movie but when I saw the preview I kept saying "That's BEN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN A MOVIE?! AHHH!" and my DH had to shush me in the movie theater...

He has been my #1 celebrity crush ever since Felicity. I even blush at the thoughts I have when I see him. YUM.

I'm actually really excited to see it. Not only do I love rachel McAdams, but it's based on a true story.

That sounds cool!! I am anxious myself and probably will go see it on Friday or Saturday morning...That is funny about your husband saying it is your VD present...LOL!!

  • I will wait for it to come out on DVD/Netflix.  I'd like to see it in the theatres but I'd be the one bawling loudly.  I'd rather do that in the comfort of my own home where the only one to make fun of me is DH.

  • I can't wait!! I've been looking forward to seeing this movie since I first saw a preview months ago. I know I'm going to sob. I'm such a sucker for movies like this. Knowing that it's based on a true story will make me feel even more emotional about it.

  • I just want to see it because it looks cute. I assume it'll be cheesy but I'm ready for it. I adore Channing Tatum because he seems SO down to earth.

    LOL.  Me neither.

This movie is my own personal hell. For real.

Like that episode of Private Practice, where the woman's memory reset every 30 seconds. Shiit like that confirms my believe that there are things worse than death.

  • I don't know if I will get around to it in the theaters, but this is definitely a movie on my list to see. I LOVE Channing Tatum!!!! He is freaking hot:)
  • I want to see this movie so bad, and I finally convinced my boyfriend to take me.  Slightly off topic, [but sort of related] this totally made me laugh...
