that you love me and that I am great and a great teacher and that I can survive the "tests" these children want to put me through. Today was a particularly hard day and I am broken....and I just need to hear a few compliments after 6.5hrs of being broken down.

I am not a quitter and have never been a quitter....and I don't want to be a quitter. I know that's all these kids want out of me.......but it's so hard not to give in.

Not only will you get through this, you will persevere! And bring them the discipline they crave (and just don't know they need). It will be hard, but I'll bet anything that at the end of the year, you will have succeeded...and in years to come, many of them will fondly recall you as their favorite teacher!!

You can do it! And when you finally break through, you're going to feel amazing. Until then, be strong all day, then go home and cry on DH shoulder and enjoy a class of wine to get ready for the next day.

If you don't have it already you NEED the book "The First Six Weeks'. Taking a job midyear is very hard. You almost have to start over. This book will help you build a community that you and the kids want and need.

I did many of the first six weeks stuff and my classat the beginning of the year and it is amazing! I also hold morning meetings, daily. The Morning Meetings book is also awesome.

You are amazing! And kids are shiitheads. I think for the next week you should go home and watch Kindergarden Cop, then treat the little turds like Arnold does, lol! Stay strong girl! I don't think I could do what you do. You are definitely special to handle it.

Kinmir- we love you and you're an amazing teacher. They need to get used to you and judging from the info you gave me, they will test you until something clicks and they like you. I know that the teaching style isn't your favorite but this is your first teaching challenge. Don't worry, you can do this. You're stronger than them and you won't quit. Quitting is what they want.

And, you're prettier than them, so there.
