They will send you a check if someone else books the identical flight for a price less than you paid; right? Is it as easy as that?

Basically, I wouldn't count on getting a check back...lol

Ha, true. But it's the same price as buying directly on the airline; so it's at least worth a shot. Although you're right, I won't count anything

Back in 2009 I received a check for about $65, for a ticket to STT. This happened a few weeks after they posted a note about a credit on my Orbitz trip page. It hasn't happened since but it did that time.

Their fine print says that someone has to book the same itinerary as you for a lower price. I assume this means both ways if it is a round trip and I could think of a lot of ways they could manipulate this to their advantage. I still used them to book our October plane tickets because I figured that the possibility of a refund is better than none. They also say that the check will come 6-8 weeks after your trip.

Orbitz had the same price as priceline and travelocity when I booked my last flight, so I figured I had nothing to lose. It's says I have booked the lowest price, but we'll see what happens, my trip is in March.
