h had a league basketball game last night which i went to. this season h signed up with a friend of ours so it's nice when the wife shows up for him, too! after the game (which they lost horribly in), we drowned our sorrows in sushi- and it was delicious.
i'm gonna get my nails done today since it'll prob be my last time ever haha. other than that, no big plans!

Re: good morning happy tuesday!! (do your kegels!!)
We have parent baby class and then a play date. Boring day, can't wait for the weekend.
H has a new schedule at work so instead of sleeping until 8am, everyone is getting up at 6:30. It is good for me.so I can get used to it for two weeks from now, but I wish bkb would sleep.

Good morning!
I think it's the last day we're supposed to have this amazing weather, so I'm planning to get in a run after work. Then coffee with the girls I mentor. I need to get my house spotless this week so I'm hoping to fit in a little bit of cleaning every evening this week too.
Have a good Tuesday!

I have a class to teach a little later this morning and then a meeting this afternoon with my boss. I've decided to apply for sabbatical (probably won't get it but it doesn't hurt to try) and I'm going to discuss my potential sabbatical project with her.
Last night we got some housework done and bought a new climber for the kitties. Hopefully they will like it. My one kitty has acted like she just wants me to be home with her, so I feel guilty when I go to work each morning. Oh well, have to pay the bills! Have a good day everyone.
get shellac! they last forever! my boss has had them for over a month, a french manicure with NO chips whatsoever. i'm going to get mine done in a couple weeks.
I forgot to say good morning!! Happy TUESDAY MORNING!
Last night I went shopping and bought pants that I don't remember ever being able to fit into. i could fit into a 16 but they were too much effort to button so i bought 18s. I'm still excited. all of the shirts at Lane Bryant were too big. I also went to Old Navy & Target. I found one top at Target and another at Old Navy but the one at Old Navy was a large.. and it was a little too short.
Anyway, going tanning after work and then home and bed early. This girl is TIRED!
TTC #2 for a million years: SA normal, CD 23 bloodwork shows nothing amiss, ovulation detected. Next step: ? maybe CD3 bloodwork to check eggs? All out of pocket, so limited IF tests/treatments.
I love you ladies for pampering yourselves....nails, tanning...way to make "me" time. I stopped getting my nails done once I moved...I had the BEST nail lady over there. Ug, no one is the same.
Last night I was far less productive than I wanted to be. I need to get motivated!! But I did enjoy spending some time with H this morning as he made me breakfast. Yum! What a good man!
Mmmmm, sushi!!! I want some now that I read that. Are you able to eat it when pregnant? Or is there only a set amount of time you shouldn't eat it (i.e. early on in pregnancy)? I honestly don't know what you can / can't eat during pregnancy, but the thought of giving up wine and sushi for nine months has me pretty sad... (the thought of giving up deli meat? Not so much.)... yum. I might do sushi for lunch now, though my trainer told me I should eat it w/o rice...
Woohoo! Congrats! That feeling of going down a size (especially in pants) is so rewarding, no? Keep up the good work - you've been really dedicated from what I can tell here.
Good Tuesday morning!
Yesterday was crazy busy so I am looking forward to today. I "slept in" until 7:30, which is later than I've slept in weeks, and I'm about to go to Sports Basement to buy a new heart rate monitor and some new workout shoes, then go to the gym. I tutor from 3-5 today and need to walk to Whole Foods to buy some fish for dinner tonight (they are the only ones that have fresh halibut around here... not sure why).
I also need to clean a bit today - I'm hoping to have the energy to tackle our "miscellaneous" cabinet / closet which is where I just store a bunch of random junk. Am hopeful that I'll just get rid of most of it and have an excuse to run to Goodwill or something... sister arrives tomorrow evening for the weekend so I need to get a lot done today and tomorrow or else it will wait until Monday.
It's raining here and I love it! Hope you all have great Tuesdays.
you just can't eat sashimi (raw fish) and certain types of fish should be avoided, also...most common sushi rolls are safe.

i've never been big on sashimi, so i'm not hurting. i'll eat raw if it's in my roll, etc, but the slabs of fish have never been my thing.
but the oysters are killing me. i miss raw oysters so much. i've eaten maybe about 5 throughout this pregnancy-- my baby will have 7 arms.
and wine. oh.....yes. i miss wine. i get to have some in approx two weeks. be jealous.

Happy Tuesday! V-Day is in a week, and DH and I still need to figure out where we want to go to celebrate. We're debating between some places that serve breakfast late night, Indian, or Thai food.
The first week of Feb has gone by so quickly, and I'm loving the sunny days!

Honestly this news made my day and I am not even pregnant. I can totally get by on rolls for 9 months!
My doctor actually said sushi and raw fish should be fine in moderation, like at most 3-5 ounces a week of low mercury fish. If the place you went to before never got you sick prior, it will most likely not make you sick after. It's mostly being careful about the kinds of fish, like albacore tuna (local - cause it's smaller and less of a predator) is ok but not big eye tuna (because it is one of the biggest predators of small fishies and thus has more mercury). The mercury thing is true for both cooked and raw fish so...
I've never had problems with raw fish at the sushi place I go to, but oysters are harder to discern and I've gotten sick off of oysters before so I'm probably avoiding oysters until October. Luckily? The season's almost over any way until November so~!
homg. I think I want my first post-pregnancy "real" meal to be sushi. With sashimi. Rolls are okay, but my favourite rolls all have raw fish on/in 'em. Cannot wait. zomg.
Today's pretty slow -- I had an OB appt (rescheduled from Thurs, since my OB's going out of town for a week, ack), which went well enough, and that's ... about it. I intend to take a nap, heh. And then work on some at-home induction methods.
I did get the all-clear from the OB today for it!
I stopped at PCC on the way home and pick up a beautiful, fresh, ripe, delicious-looking pineapple. Mmmm... pineapple. Thinking about making a banana/pineapple/chocolate milkshake.
yup. the reason that this, lunchmeat, oysters, rare-steak, FROYO, should be avoided is bacteria...bacteria is more prone to these foods... and if you eat it a LOT, your chances of getting sick are much higher--just because the odds---let's say odds are you get sick 1 out of 100 times..eating it 100 times, you'd get sick...eat it once, you're more than likely in the clear.
