poop talk while i am eating?
present company excluded of course but do parents just lose their minds when they have kids? i was at a chipotle type local chain eating a burrito tonight. the tables were really close together. i was seated next to a family and the father was very near me. he preceded to ask his daughter questions like name this name that. then he said what does a baby go poo poo and pee pee in? um, i am eating! then they start talking about diarrhea. i got up and moved. you would think the wife would have said something but she didn't.

Re: poop talk while i am eating?
haha yeah, sometimes we lose our filter. sometimes i forget that the things i talk to my 2.5 year old don't appeal to the masses
it's hard to explain...my husband and i swore up and down that we'd never talk about poop or vomit and their color or frequency...but here we are, doing just that! it's just a part of parenthood.
i will say that we really try not to bring up poop/vomit/bodily functions of our toddler wihen in the presence of people that don't have kids. mostly bc i realize they will think we're crazy and gross.
Yep. Pretty much. I also swore I would never talk about/do the things I find myself talking about/doing. I am so not even close to being grossed out by poop talk anymore. I don't think I ever was, but having kids and being so completely involved in every one of their bodily processes - well, it takes away the taboo for you. It's just everyday life.
well yeah, i can accept needing to talk about the status of a child's poop as it indicates their health from day to day. it's the same with pets. but it wasn't a husband and wife discussion like that. it was the man talking to his daughter rather loudly. i guess i feel like people should keep other people in mind when they are sharing a public space.
