Washington D.C weather in March and help with vaca. destination
I'm still trying to plan a baby friendly vacation in March and now we have it narrowed down to 3 places. Charleston, New Orleans and D.C.
I would love to go to D.C, but being from Texas, I would like it to be somewhat "warm" at least low 60s (3/10-3/17). What is the avg. temp for that time of year?
And out of the 3 cities mentioned, which would you choose? Thanks.

You're welcome
I'd do Charleston

We're looking to do all of the typical touristy stuff, museums and monuments. We'd probably take public transportation and do a lot of walking which is why I asked about the weather.
And thanks for the weather averages, which I already checked, but I'm looking for real input not data. I can tell you that although it says the average temp here in Fort Worth in the summer is roughly 96 degrees. I've seen more 100+ days and wished for those mid 90 temps.
It's a crapshoot to try and predict. It could be 60 and lovely, or it could be 40 and windy. Spring is notoriously unpredictable, and I try to avoid outdoor stuff in that area until at least April.

It has been unusually warm this winter BUT there have been many big snow storms in March. If you want a guarantee of weather, I think you would be better off with your other city choices. If you don't care, DC is a fun place to visit no matter the weather.
Well, it's 55 degrees here right now. We have had an exceptionally mild winter. Will it continue? Who knows.
March is unpredictable. If you will be miserable if it's less than 60 degrees, don't come. Average highs don't reach the 60s until the very end of the month, but I have seen both 85 degrees and 25 degrees during the month.
Warm weather isn't necessary, it would just add another plus when trying to decide on a destination.
It's been unusually warm here in Texas also. I guess I'm secretly wanting that to be the case in March as well.
Thanks for the info ladies.
