I came across this today and even though it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of the universe-- it got me thinking. All these conversion disorders and crazy medical things (seems to be the theme today). Why would someone lie about using a surrogate? Does that mean she thinks it is shameful to have trouble conceiving and using a surrogate? Why would someone lie about that?
Also, with these kids in NY (kind of relates to Bval too)-- I understand that some of them might be making it up for attention. I am wondering if they originally were faking and then got got up. Sorta like Cartman in the tourrette's episode of South Park (lol)?

I am not a fan of him or of her. She's overstayed her welcome and so has he.
I didn't know this happened. Gah I used to like Beyonce and think she was relatively down to earth. Then she has to go and behave like a twit. Booooooo.
If Beyonce faked the PG, she did so for vanity reasons, not because of fertility issues. Supposedly Kelly Preston faked her recent PG as well - I'm assuming because Scientology is against surrogacy and they didn't want to be seen as hypocrites.
Beyonce's a vain diva, but she goes to great lengths to portray herself otherwise.
My first thought was if she did it would be because she didn't want to mess-up her figure.
This. If that were the reason, I could see using a surrogate and covering it up. But if it were infertility - I can think of a few actresses who have used surrogates openly because of infertility and I can't remember any backlash. I just saw a story about Elizabeth Banks using a surrogate.
I also can't see Beyonce as "down to earth." She's always seemed pretty high maintenance to me.

I'm watching the video at the end- Katie Couric's interivew. Katie asks her about the collapsing bump and she does a good job of basically totally NOT answering. "It's so crazy/ over the top".... uh huh.

What if there was an indicent on the floor??? They won't know any details -- Anything could have happened up there, thanks to them.
Lennox Hill Hospital was always for the well heeled and upper crust. In this case, thse 2 sure had a lot of crust.:(
And to be fair, not every woman shows a lot -- some hardly show signs of carrying a baby and therea re still some women who don't announce a pregnancy until pretty late in their gestation. Not everybody says they're pregnant as soon as the pee hits the stick.:)
I believe they rented the entire floor, so no one else was giving birth up there.
I love Jay Z, and I love Beyonce. I'm not 100% convinced she actually carried that baby herself, but whatever.
I think that a lot of the "evidence" cited in the article is weak. Most photoshoots are done far in advance, so using those pictures to show the progress of "the bump" is questionable.
Plus, the size of a baby bump has a lot to do with a woman's physiology. I have pictures of my mother while she was pregnant with me and you can't tell she was carrying until the last few months. Some women just carry more internally and some "pop out" immediately.
There was a gent who complained he wasn't permitted near the nursery...because it was security for them. Man.:(
There are still other patients. They could have kept that infant in her room with her --- that's the way it used to be done back in the day --- and there are many hospitals that allow rooming-in.
All she needed was a crew of private nurses. what's the big deal here?
And also, saying "oh she did ALL that while she was pregnant?" Yes. That is what homegirl does. She might have taken it easy for 9 months and still did ALL that.
I have a friend who at 8 months PG.... you could BARELY tell. She looked 3 or 4 months at best. She carried "in".
But the caving belly... that one is hard for me to look past.

I have an easier time believing that she was pregnant, She certainly has pp boobs.
But, I am open to the idea that she delivered at a different time/place than reported. You know, so she could drop some weight 'fast' or whatever.
I absolutely believe Kelly Preston faked her pregnancy.
I have a cousin we did not know she was pregnant until a few days before she gave birth, she was already super small and we could not tell she did not have the bump or anything. Her Mom who is a large woman was pregnant with her last son, we could not tell she was pregnant at all.
The other argument she still wearing heels, Jessica Simpson still wears hers, Tia Mowry wore hers, and my God-Sister wore hers until the day she gave birth. My God-Sister argued that she was more comfortable with high heels then flats.
I agree we will never know the truth and who cars. When I saw the post baby pic all I could think is I hope pray I loose my baby bump as fast. Oh yeah a lot of women work, exercise, and continue to live until the day they give birth.
I'm pretty much in line with you, ECB, on the subject. The caving belly is weird. The other evidence in that article .... meh.
Put my vote in the "not pg" column.
I thought the postpartum picture looked real. She was looking a little thick (by Hollywood standards of course) in the side view.
My aunt never really showed when she got pregnant and she was pretty thin. Near the end she popped out, but not until almost 8 months along. I had a noticeable bump by 4 months and I am not thin.
