Fit Chicks

I know we have been really inconsistent but I still wanted to check in with everyone.  How is everyone doing???

I ate out **tons** this weekend.  As in, I tracked and used all my dailies plus my weeklies and then some.  OOPS!  I have been on the treadmill twice this week, and added 15 extra minutes last night.  Going to add another extra 15 tonight (for 45 minutes total both days).  Hoping to get on tomorrow (I never use it on Wed because I go into the office and its just harder).  My next goal after that is to start using it Sat and/or Sun.

I was down 0.6 again on Friday, so I'm hoping that I'll still lose this week.

Re: Fit Chicks

  • I get pretty sloppy on the weekends too, eat out, lose track of my points a bit, but doing really well during the week and trying to save the bulk of my weekly points for the weekend for that reasons.  I was down 3.5lbs this week and ten pounds total since January 3rd, woo hoo!  I feel like already clothes are fitting a little better, and it's good motivation to stick with it!

  • Well, I walked for an hour this morning (unexpectedly, but good exercise!). I have lost at least 7lbs this month. I'm happy to see the scale going down!

I am trying to find time to exercise but it's too hard right now. I am just trying to eat right and watch portion sizes.

  • I failed miserably over the weekend, but prior to Sunday I was up 19 lbs at 31 weeks. Which is WAY less than where I was at with Riley! I was working out at least 4x a week, but I've been having a lot of BH and cramping so taking it easier this week.

  • I am really trying to get my duff in gear and get back to the gym to stay fit for this last trimester. I've been absolutely horrible at it the entire pregnancy, but I'm really trying to change that. I'm also working harder at making better choices about food choices and actually planning out meals (plus adding in vegetables whenever possible). I don't weight myself outside of my doctor's appointments and I have my 28 week tomorrow. I was up 4 pounds total 4 weeks ago, so hopefully it hasn't gone up a lot since then. I just remind myself that I'm STILL down 21 pounds from where I was in January of 2011, so that really is helping to motivate me.

  • I'm really trying to stick to my workout plan (basically 4-5 days per week, mostly Jillian Michael's DVDs - I have a bunch that I rotate) and had been good with meal tracking on My Fitness Pal, until last week.  I got a sinus/cold thing that made me lazy and grouchy and then as soon as I started working out again at the end of last week, morning/afternoon/evening/wake-me-up-in-the-middle-of-the-night sickness kicked in.  Blahhh, I feel like crap.  I made it through a workout yesterday and had my first doctor's appointment, where I found out I still weigh what I weighed at my last appointment in September, so there's that.  I wasn't looking to lose weight, but sort of expected to have gained a couple of pounds in muscle - though, I really don't know how much muscle one needs to add to actually gain weight from it.  Anyway, I really want to stick with working out at the same level for as long as I can.  The nurse said as long I feel good, I can keep it up.  I have read once you get to the second trimester you should avoid exercises where you lay on your back, which I do a lot of now, so I'll have to modify at that point.  I would love to take a prenatal yoga class at some point, too.

  • Last week was my first week back to school so I had a harder time tracking my pointsplus. I went down .2 so at least I didn't gain. I have also started C25K but have not done as well this week due to baby illness and migraines but hopefully will be able to run tomorrow. I am also going to track better with my new 3 month tracker. I am also excited cause I got 2 brand new WW cookbooks to use in my meal planning! Total since the first week of January 9.6lbs?

  • I've been doing okay but really, I need to care more if I'm going to lose weight. Right now I eat like a 29 year old man with a freakishly high metabolism, when in fact, I'm not one. It's just so easy to eat the same things Matt eats, or in the same portions, when we cook together.

For exercise I've been more consistent at getting to yoga at least twice a week so that's good. I feel better and fitter, but I need to clean up my eating to really make a difference. :/

I'm up just over 3 pounds in 4 weeks. Doctor isn't concerned, but I'm still on the low end of the weight gain scale. I'm getting in to going to a low impact workout class twice a week now, so that should helped keep me (and the babe) in check.
