Am I the only one that thinks this is weird? I mean...the guy is huge, he couldn't have done anything for her himself? And she is a waitress? Nothing wrong with that, I am just surprised.

From what I understand she wanted to do this on her own.
However it wouldn't surprise me if she wasn't on the show to help ratings and keep the show relevant.
Quite honestly I forgot he had a daughter. I'm skeptical of the whole situation. I wouldn't recognize his daughter if she walked past me on the street. I think if she really wanted to do this on her own she would have stood in line and auditioned on her own. If I were a contestant I wouldn't be looking for celebrities or their children standing in line so she'd be safe if she were standing next to me.
Exactly. If you want to do it on your own, why even say that your dad is Jim Carrey? I wouldn't have known who it was.
This is the same daughter who grew up on $9000 a month child support and the mother asked for even more! Now, it does seem like she has a good relationship with her dad, which then just makes me question "why does she need American Idol?" Her dad is Jim Carrey!
