Indian Wells/Palm Springs, CA
We're going to the Parabus Open next month and are looking for a good place to stay as well as other activites for while we're there. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
TIA!

Here's a post from not too long ago about Palm Springs
http://community.thenest.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/62426195.aspx
I have been to that tournament many, many times. It is one of my favorite weekends. Hotels that first weekend will be very, very expensive. We used to be able to get a nice hotel (Westin, Marriott etc) for not too bad and they are now 300-400 a night on the weekends. My sister booked the Hampton Inn for $179 many, many months ago. A lot of places will be sold out by now. Hopefully you are going during week because it will be much less expensive.
If you don't mind a bit of a drive try hotels in Palm Springs versus Indian Wells/Palm Desert-they might be a little cheaper.
My DH and I usually just go the first weekend because you get to see so much tennis. We get there at 11:00 when it starts and stayed until 10:00 at night with our one ticket. We don't usually do much else. There are some great restaurants out there.
Have a great time.
