toddlers in hotel beds

In April we are taking the boys to Boston for a few days, going to the circus, the zoo, and a couple of museums and we will be staying there. The last time we stayed in a hotel they slept in their PnPs... that won't be happening this time... they climb in and out of them, they take up too much space in the room and are just too awkward to take with us for just a few days... so what do you do when you stay in a hotel with your toddlers... I think they would sleep in the bed together, but I am afraid they would fall out... any tricks? anything we can bring with us thats not too bulky to make it safer?

We still use the PnP so you can take this with a grain of salt

If you have two queens in the room, I would have hubby sleep in one queen with one of the kids, and you in the other queen with the other. Not that it reduces the chance of falling out, but at least you would be able to tell if they are too close or not. When T and I sleep in the same room, I wake up like every hour because I'm paranoid.

We have a Regalo My Cot for Helen. If one of us tried to sleep in a bed with her, no one would get any sleep.

We were in the same situation when we went away over Christmas. We stayed in hotels last Feb and July and he was in a PnP. I had considered getting the cot mentioned above, but never did. At home Eli has been in a twin since November, but it does have a safety rail on it. We considered bringing the safety rail and attaching it to one side, but didn't want to deal with moving it, so we took our chances. We stayed in 2 hotels over Christmas break and he did fine sleeping in the queen bed by himself. We rolled up the comforter and put that and pillows around him. Of course you have the challenge of having 2 to contend with so that's a whole other issue! Good luck!

Yeah, if we tried to sleep in the same bed, we would not get any sleep! We have bed rails too that I was thinking of bringing... but I just think it would be too awkward... I was also thinking of doing the rolling the comforter and pillows but didn't know if that had worked for anybody! I think I might put up a divider between the two of the too so that they aren't knocking into each other... but they did climb in and sleep in each others toddler beds when we were at home so I don't think they really care... they have no boundaries with each other lol!
