Reason # 5412398567 not to have kids
Re: Reason # 5412398567 not to have kids
Yeah, I remember the days of being sleep deprived because I was working 30 hours a week and going to school full time. It was tough then, even in my early 20's, and I couldn't imagine going through that now. No thank you!
Definitely a good reason. Sleep is wonderful!!
On another note, how is your back feeling?
Just know it gets better! My dad is up and moving 2 1/2 weeks after his surgery. He took a while longer the first time, but just know in a month or so (or when his Dr told him to do PT) he will be a lot better. I'm just glad they can fix him
It must be her first kid. Yeah you don't sleep after you have kids get use to it. my kids are 2 1/2 & 3 almost 4 and no I don't sleep that's just the way it works being a mom. Be friends with coffee and nap when they do.
Yeah...he started PT yesterday, which was it's own brand of fun. I know he will be good as new, eventually, it is just a slow process, and I feel bad for him because I know he wants it fixed now.
Ang--> he's getting there? Slowly but surely. The first couple of days (right after the nerve blocker wore off, mainly) were absolute torture. Now, he's up and moving some, and back in the bed (he was sleeping on the couch downstairs), that has helped immensely. One day at a time seems to be our standing mantra. He went back to work yesterday, and lasted until about 2:30 before needing to come home. He is back there today, and we will see how that goes. Thanks for asking!
The thing that jumped out at me was her 700 sq. ft. house. I have a one bedroom apartment and it's 945. Surely that's a typo...
On another note, this is in fact one of my many reasons to not have kids (yet).
ETA: It's also one of my reasons for not nursing if I do. If she weren't breastfeeding, her DH could take some of those shifts.

Lots better! Thanks for asking. The physical therapist sort of thinks I hurt my back because of this hip issue I've been dealing with so I've been stretching my hip out a lot and it's helping.
My second apartment was a 1 BR/1B and it was only 710 sq. ft... I also looked at a few houses last time I rented that weren't much bigger. So it may not be a typo, yikes! That place felt small for me and the boy, I can't imagine having a kid in there too!
That's what I'm saying. DH and I can't even fit a coffee table in the living room because the couch is too close to the TV stand as it is. Where the heck would we put a baby? Lol.
