Hi, I need your help. I need to create a baby boy blanket for a gift. I need a tutorial of something cute and doable in a week. Any suggestions?
This is what I have found so far:
ZigZag Chenille Blanket (are these blankets soft?)

Taggie Blanket

The ZigZag Chenille might be time consuming for a week, but the straight chenille (just straight lines) might not be as bad. I've used that technique for burp cloths and they are soft on the back. If you do that, get the chenille cutter (like this one) instead of using scissors. Your hands will thank you.
What about bibs? I really like this tutorial and she has a pattern as well. I use pinking sheers around the edge instead of cutting all the v-shapes because I'm lazy.

The bibs are super cute!!
Thanks for your comments!
The straight chenille blanket can certainly be done in a week. I think it took me a total of 5 hours and that is because I was pretty rusty with my sewing machine. I make these for any pregnant friends now. I second the chenille cutter!!! I used scissors for my first one and it was torture on my hand.
Yea, the chevron would take forever. I second the straight line.
The self binding receiving blankets are easy and I like to use something soft for the center. http://piecenquilt.blogspot.com/2009/06/self-binding-receiving-blanket-tutorial.html
And these are super easy. http://www.howdoesshe.com/designer-print-and-minky-baby-blanket
