I hate the gym

So I was jogging on the treadmill like I do every time I'm at the gym (I've gotten good at this jogging stuff). Well yesterday I should have stayed away.

I twisted my knee badly. It's the size of a grapefruit and I can put zero pressure on it.

I recently got insurance through my school (woo, its cheaper! and better!). I'm just afraid to go and find out something else is torn. I know they will only give me Motrin and tell me to suck it up or give me a brace that won't work.

I hate my knee. I really do. I wanna stab it right now.

I seen no point to this post,

I'm no doctor, but I'm fairly certain that this will make things much worse.

  • My mom did the same thing to her knee just before my wedding a couple months ago.  She is a nurse and was running through the hospital for an emergency, then turned a corner hard and twisted her knee.

Turns out she tore her meniscus and had surgery about 6 weeks ago.  She's still in physical therapy.  I'm not saying that's what's wrong with you, but the sooner you get it checked out, the better.  We took my mom to the ER THAT DAY.

  • I just noticed I wrote Seen instead of see. oy.

I have torn cartilage as it is now. It felt worse than when I tore it. I really cannot afford surgery (for loss of time from school and work and well..I would owe 20% of the cost :( ).

And SLou, I think stabbing it will help. It will take the pain off of walking :p AND I'll have a justification to go to the dr.

  • I would definitely say to get it checked out. You don't want to do more damage by not having it looked at and continue walking on it. **hugs** I hope the swelling goes down quickly.

  • Thanks. I'm going to call the clinic and see if they have an available appointment today.

I just hate the fact that I took the elevator and it took me 30 minutes to walk instead of 15 :
