POLL: If you won the lottery
Real quick, what's the first thing that pops in your head that you would do with some of your money, and go!

Re: POLL: If you won the lottery
Quick like answer, I would have my own fitness room, with a personal trainer and a personal cook.
Thanks for the idea Lauren.
I would definitely build a new horse barn. Something big and beautiful with an indoor riding arena. And then I'd pay someone to keep it clean. Haha!
Also, one of those around the world cruises, preferably while my new house & barn were being built.

Quit my job and travel all over the world for a year and eat lots of awesome food.
Come back and build my dream house and hire a personal trainer to work off all of the above traveling food.
Pay off family's debt.
Have kids and hire a night nurse to bring me my children when they cry.
I've always wanted a reading room with a pink couch. I don't know why, but this has stuck in my head for years.
I'd travel. Probably charter a jet and take all of my friends to vegas. It's going to take a while for my new house to get built/remodeled, so might as well travel around.

16 read! my read shelf:
Pay off our house, pay off the in-laws house, replace DH's car...
I'd also still go to work (because I enjoy it) and I wouldn't tell anyone that we won. I'd show up to work like nothing happened but when it came time for lay offs I'd be all "whatev, I can go home" about it.
We've talked about it before, actually.
We talk about it too. Jim is adamant about not telling a soul, including our parents/siblings. Not only that, but that we then also are very generous with them - - which I am clearly all for. What I don't get, and tease him about all the time - is how we'll just say buy a house for my Mom and be all "eh, we had the money lying around" about it. I mean, won't it be obvious that *something* happened to us?
With that said, I'd buy us a big awesome house. I'd pay off my Mom's house and get her settled some place new. That's probably it.
Quit our jobs, buy a lake resort!
Pay off all debts, build a new house, travel, have another baby.
Pretty much this exactly.

Buy/build a home
Finish paying off our debt
I'd still want to work... but only like 20 hours a week instead of 50-ish. So, if I could have my current job, with half the stress, please.
We would buy an awesome 3-bedroom condo in Santa Monica, right across the street from the ocean. I would want a fun little convertible - nothing too outrageous, just a Saturn Sky or something like that. No idea what Paul would want.
I'd definitely go on a shopping spree - there is like $300 just in athletic wear alone that I am drooling over right now. So maybe I'd spend on the athletic stuff, hire Jillian Michaels as my personal trainer, and then spend a bunch of money on new (and smaller) regular clothes. And shoes. I want new shoes.
Also: vacations. Italy for a couple weeks, Fiji (in one of those over the water hotel rooms), yeah.
You know... just off the top of my head....
Pay of debt, build a house, etc...
then have lots of babies and hire the awesome lady at Landon's daycare to be our nanny.
