Last night we pulled up behind a car at a red light, and the license plate said "Tarpon." My first thought was not "fish," but "Monoxide."

I told someone a few days ago they had a first-world problem and their diamond shoes were too tight. They didn't get it. Either it's mostly a nest thing, or they are dumb.

While H and I were on vacation last year, we met this other couple from FL who invited us to go tarpon fishing with them if we're ever in their area. I immediately thought of Tarpon Monoxide!
I think the "my diamond shoes are too tight" is originally from a line on Friends.

Were you engaged to Mr. Kuus more than once? I used to lurk off and on in college when I was an engaged beebee. It took years upon years to work up the nerve to post and even then I never could do it on WW (I lurked when it was RE).
Yep. Two engagements, same guy. First engagement was in college; he was only 21 when he proposed. I was the beebee-est of beebee brides on the Knot back then.
And I think the loss of virginity was pre-Nest, on the Knot Relationships board. So there :P
I may or may not have once, in the course of conversation, said "carbon monoxide" to my H but put the emphasis on the wrong syllable (carBON monoxide).
I lurked on TIP back in '04, '05', and '06, in the old formatting days. I don't remember specific stories or posters, but I have been around a while. I had a different screen name then, and when I went on mat leave in 2010 and came back to TN (since I needed better things to do that watch all six seasons of Grey's Anatomy while Newborn Malibu slept all day), I had no idea what that SN was. Had to make a new one.
I wasn't a crazy though, I can promise you that. I doubt I actually ever posted anything then.
