Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Omg... child porn on the bump. *Updated*
Someone on the breastfeeding board went to click through the community photos that people have posted, which is something immediately available on the homepage of the community link... unfortunately, she and others found extremely graphic photos of hardcore child pornography. Many people reported it and it appears the bump has rerouted the linking while they work on the problem.
It really makes me question the site's safety and who is actually hanging around here... the girls on the other boards are anticipating an announcement and apology of sorts from the bump gods.
I am horrified.
Here is the official response sent to those who reported it:
"Thanks for alerting us to these very disturbing photos. They were quickly removed. Please accept our deepest apologies that you were able to view them. You should know that we?re taking all possible steps to prevent this from happening again. We?re also working with the law enforcement community to make sure the person behind this gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
As you know, we deeply value our community of members on The Bump and so it?s very important to us that you feel safe on our message boards, in the galleries and all of the other community sections of the site. These are open forums, so we look to our members to help us maintain the spirit of community ? thank you for taking the time to do it in this case.

I am shocked and disgusted. There are no words.
I saw that on the BF boards but couldn't figure out what they were talking about with the community photos. A lot of links and photos are disabled from my work computer though.
Definitely sketchy, but makes sense. If trolls can create alternative identities with whole lives, families and children's photos - creeps could definitely use it for worse. I hope they find and prosecute these people (the kiddy porn folks I mean).
Wow. This is disgusting. You really don't know who the lurkers are. Granted, they probably aren't lurking around much. But this is why I don't have pics of myself. I just don't know who is out there lurking and it creeps me out. I do love chatting with you girls. It's horrible that people can ruin a good thing.
