Student Loans

I think one of them might be paid off by the end of the year! I just figured it out and since I have been rounding up my monthly payments to the nearest hundred, that little extra bit helped to cut out about 8 months!

Now if I could get Jer's law school loans under control. That is such a money suck, but worth it I suppose. Stick out tongue

Yeah, my other two say they will be paid off in another 12 years or so. Blargh. I try to pay more than the minimum each month.

That is wonderful, and such a great feeling to have them paid off!

I only have one of mine paid off, there's one left I am still working on.

That's great! I am still paying mine down, but when I consolidated them around a year ago, I got letters from the few different ones saying "PAID IN FULL." It was exciting for a minute, until I looked at the total balance on the "new" loan.

I have 3 that I have been paying since I was about 24 or so (deferred them for a while) and until the last few years I was only paying the interest. It is nice to see the actual principal finally going down too.

I'm super jealous, haha. My estimated pay-off date is in 2025. :-P Luckily, DH's parents had the cash to pay for his tuition outright and we only have mine to worry about. We are stuck paying the minimums right now while DH finishes college, but after that I plan to try doubling my payments.
