Re: WTF Wednesday
My WTF is directed at my neighbor. Last night I was in the car with DH driving, and as he was pulling through the garage there was a car parked illegally making it nearly impossible to get by it to get to our (assigned, pay a wazoo of money for) spot. Seriously, there was maybe an inch of clearance on each side and our car is not even that wide. Of course he ends up scraping the rear drivers' side against a pole doing damage to our 5 month old car that we just got back from the body shop a few weeks ago (from other damage I did). I was so p*ssed I was tempted to do damage to her car (not cool, I know) but fortunately DH stopped me. I did leave a really nasty note on her car and DH is calling our landlord to address the issue. I'm actually tempted to go after the neighbor for the damage but to be honest, it can probably be fixed with some touch-up paint.
It turns out that the illegally parked car belongs to one of our neighbors who let a visiting friend use her assigned spot (when I went down to put the note on the car I saw her saying goodbye to her friend and then move her car). There are signs in that section of the lot saying you can't park there, will be towed, etc., but there are still always cars there.. we see some of the same cars constantly while we pay a crapload to park in our building each month. DH and I have complained to the landlord multiple times and other than putting a note up in the lobby he doesn't do anything. I'm at the point where I'm going to ask the landlord for the number for the tow company and will call myself when cars are in the way, since we have a view of the back of the lot from our apartment.
Oh, I would be so PISSED! I hate, hate, hate it when people think that the rules don't apply to them. If the car is parked illegally you should be able to call the police (non-emergency line of course) & ask for it to be towed or ask who you need to call to take care of the issue since the landlord won't.
@Lori, I would be p!ssed too. That's so rude to intentionally park illegally.
My WTF goes to my DH. I understand you are sick and don't feel good, but take some meds for cryin out loud!!!! Taking them 1 day is not going to do anything to help you. Please, just humor me and take the d@mn meds please.

Which reminds me, WhereTF did people learn how to park?! I can't even count the number of times H and I have been out shopping the last few months to return to the car to find I can barely squeeze back into the damn them. Normally it's not a problem, but with my belly I've actually had to have my H back the car up so I can get in. People are so inconsiderate.
WTF - My professor was an hour late to class and just told all of us that she has strep throat....and she is still here. We are in a small a$$ classroom and I am just getting over a cold and stomach bug. I am PISSED. She shouldn't be here right now. Not to mention that we have almost 200 pages of reading due this time next week. AB-SURD.
