Fingernails?
How long do they take to grow, on average? I noticed today that every single one of my fingernails has a darker white line (from calcium deficiency) that's about 1/32 from my cuticle edge. I'll see these occasionally on one nail or another, but across all 10 nail beds is unusual. I'm trying to figure out what was going on in my life, stress and diet-wise, that would have caused that...and need to know how to calculate 
Also, I have a mani/pedi groupon that will be expiring next month. I had planned on doing it this month but my nails have kept breaking and are rather short now. Do you ever go get your nails done when they're on the short side?

jumped ship to the new and improved nest. back to TB for baby boards.
my coworker got a manicure and shelac and her nails grow quickly.. but because she got a french manicure, it still looks great!
I just used a living social voucher today fora mani/pedi. My nails are super short, because I break them constantly. I still enjoy the pampering, clean cuticles, etc. I do usually only get clear on my nails because when I get a chip a day or two later with colored nails I get pissed.
I only got french. Looked great for a week, then grow-out was very obvious...at least to me.
I've seen others who can look good for weeks...I think my nails just grow way too fast. They do normally and I've been taking pre-natal vits every since we first started thinking about TTGKTFU, so that probably doesn't help.
I get mani's even though my nails are always short. I'm a nail biter plus my job chips/rips my nails a lot. I just like getting them cleaned up and a french mani looks good on short nails too.
Mine tend to grow slowly, but I've heard if you have nervous habits like tapping your nails or some such, they grow quicker cause the heightened blood circulation? But I'm not sure how true this is.
I go get manipedis when I want to, regardless of how long my nails are, but I do try to get them long enough for the nail stylist to shape (I am so horrible at shaping my own nails).
