Where to live...
Hey guys. I used to live in South Tampa a couple years ago. Now my husband and I are moving back from England. We want to buy a house relatively soon, but probably need to rent for like 6 months til we get settled. Any suggestions on places for short term leases, nice places and not too expensive? Ideally (maybe too ideal) we would love to live near Howard, Bayshore or Westshore.

It can be kind of difficult to find a short term lease, but I have a friend that is looking for the same thing and she has found that there are some condos/houses that private owners are trying to rent out while they try to sell - so they are looking for month-to-month tenants or short term in case the property sells.
I think there are also some complexes that will do 6 month leases but they will raise the rent rate, like Post Hyde Park.
I agree, i tried to do a short term lease when I moved here 10 months ago and it was so expensive.
I know some places in Harbor Island (rent by owner) may make an exception
